I have enjoyed the food and location for years but the new owner / manager is rude. When our food arrived it was wrong I asked him why? he replied we didn’t have what you wanted do you want to change it what do you want then! I asked for my money back I will be leaving. He grabbed the money out of the till slapped it my hand then said I will be taking the food back now then. Feel free it’s yours! Terrible service, Sadly we will not be returning.

Me and my grandma went to the waterfront for lunch today. It was a terrible service. I ordered a burger and chips. My grandma ordered ham and chips. When it arrived. It was cold. The table was messy and they did not clean it up and when the food arrived it was cold I know there short staff but they did not apologise for the wait but I will go back in the new year

I have given Waterfront vouchers as Christmas gifts in the past, I telephoned last week (several times!) to get some for this Christmas. I live in Essex so needed the vouchers posted to me (this has not been a problem in the past and I was more than happy to pay a little extra for p & p), but was told I could not have them posted to me, they were only available to buy in person. Sadly the owner lost £100 of trade from me

Stopped here twice over a weekend. The coffee and cake was very nice and was lovely sitting outside by the river. We went back for breakfast on the Sunday must say its a little bit pricey but very friendly staff and food was very good. This place seems to always be busy which is a good sign

Situated at the waterfront of RiverThames, the scenery is magnificent. Very friendly and helpful staff. Food is good but slightly pricy. An ideal place to have a relax lunch sitting next to the river and enjoy the warm sunlight.

Husband and myself often come here at the weekend for lunch, have always had lovely food Decided to bring M IN L for a treat We noted that the staff are not up to their usual standard, hardly a smile and grunts at you when asking a question, never clears the table unless you ask them too and kept giving people wrong orders Have been back since and I must admit it didn't seem so chaotic as last time and noticed new staff being shadowed. Yes a bit pricey but food lovely and location wonderful.

Lunch was dreadful:- took 3 attempts to make a hot latte after bringing warm coffee to our table, the clueless staff then couldn't remember which was decaf! £13.95 for 2 fishcakes and limp salad was a rip-off, even had to pay £3.20 for a small cold portion of chips. The queuing system for food was ridiculous, only one person taking orders. Your business will fold if you continue to rip off customers. Needless to say won't be returning.

Good selection of food. Items chosen of good quality. Good service. Items cooked on the day.. very limited car parking. Large number of outside tables down to Riverside. Be aware of number of pleasure boats potentially moored obstructing river view. Right next to main road which can be busy..

I found it to be great experience The food was great, and in particular my enormous tuna baguette was also great. The staff were marvellous and paid particular attention to your needs and tastes in so many ways, eg. food allergies. The car park was busy. It has a security camera which takes your car registration number. The cashier who was particularly mindful to everybody, to use the tablet by the till to complete their cars detail's. Relaxed atmosphere. ThanksDietary restrictions: Gave a full range of ingredients and alternatives, allergies etc

Nice location and good food, bit expensive for a cafe, restaurant prices really but nice enough. We had 3 mains and 3 soft drinks for £52.

We booked the back room at the Waterfront for our boys christening this weekend. They put on a fantastic spread of food and set the tables up perfectly for a relaxed event for 30 people for us. We had lots of comments from our family and friends about how good the food was. The service staff were very helpful and made the day a pleasure. Thank you! We will definitely use the Waterfront for an event again in the future.

I’ve been here before and have always enjoyed sitting in or outside on the river Thames, having a coffee or tea, breakfast or not. Hannah and staff were friendly, service great and we enjoyed a hearty breakfast and coffee today. Will definitely come back.

Long time visitor here. Not entirely sure what happened to this once brilliant cafe but what an absolute rip off. £7.95 for a ham and cheese toastie that included one incredibly thin slice of ham and barely any cheese, burnt toast and some limp salad leaves on the side that had seen better days. Pretty sure this used to come with crisps at least but no, we had to pay extra for chips. It seems the cafe has become so busy these days that food has fallen to the way side and no care or attention has been paid to it. During covid we could come for their takeaway breakfast and it was always brilliant and since then food standards have fallen so incredibly low. Despite the wonderful views in the sunshine we will not be back. I suggest to the managers to start focusing on your food again before you lose more long time customers.

Long time visitor, food is always decent. Wide ranging menu, plus a range of specials. Staff range from young, keen and helpful to dull, disinterested and looking for the next opportunity. Car parking is always an issue, they now require you to register number plates which secures you a time frame, sensible! One thing really grates. You have to pay every time you order, drinks, mains, desserts, if you want another drink, yet another receipt. There must be a better way, not everybody is going to do a runner without settling up.

Upon entering we were told to find a table and then remember the number when ordering at the cafe. Finding a clean table without lettuce or crumbs on was the first challenge. We ordered 2 milkshakes, 1 tempura prawns, 1 beef nachos, 1 goats cheese salad and 1 cheesy chips. The milkshakes arrived quickly- the strawberry one was nesquik powder with the powder sitting at the bottom waiting for me to mix it.The food took another 30 mins to arrive and looked lovely at first until we took a closer look. The cheesy chips were an absolute joke for £4.20...a small desert bowl of 12 chips, with cheese on top that looked like they had been microwaved. The tempura prawns were vile- undercooked large ones and chewy smaller ones. The nachos were average- beef chilli tastless and not fresh, 3-5 slices of jalapeños in the whole dish. The goats cheese salad was bad- not warm like stated. About 5 half walnuts, half a beetroot and 4 chunks of cucumber. Basically a bowl of leaves and again quite tastless- not what expected for £16.95!We asked for ketchup and Mayo- the Mayo bottle was filthy with fingerprints and black marks. We asked for water and were told they wouldn't be a minute... 20 minutes later no water so we left.We watched a server place a cup of tea on another table to free his hands whilst serving. But he hadn't been told the table was out of order and there were no signs. The table toppled over and the tea spilled everywhere. Had a customer sat down at the table they could have fallen and hurt themselves.£47 wasted and left very concerned that we may be ill since eating undercooked prawns.Such a shame when it's such a lovely location on the water.
