The food was fantastic (Sunday Roast). 10/10A great atmosphere and the staff were happy and friendly, even though they were obviously working hard and under pressure.The only down side was the delay in getting the food. It didn't spoil our experience but I think some people might be annoyed by the long wait.It would be a good idea for the staff to warn people of the long delay whilst taking the order.

Three of us had Sunday lunch and it was the best we've had anywhere for a long time. Generous portions and a real treat to have sausagemeat stuffing & cauliflower cheese included. The red cabbage was amazing, and the gravy was a real highlight! Staff were friendly and helpful. Will definitely be back.

We had a wonderful roast dinner. There was 11 of us for dinner and it was delicious and came out piping hot. Staff were brilliant and even brought out baby toys as well. Had a good sense of humour and nothing seemed too much trouble. Highly

What an amazing afternoon/evening we have spent at The Black Horse today. The food was incredible and the only thing to outshine that was the service from the staff. They were so kind and accommodating for our big group. They brought over toys for the two children to play with and even offered to hold the youngest baby so his mum could eat. There was nothing too awkward for them and they really wade us all feel welcome.

I recently inquired about having a party for a large group of friends and family for my 50th celebrations. Laura was absolutely brilliant and arranged everything for me and even booked a DJ for the evening who was brilliant. It was a fantastic event, so well done. Excellent pub garden which is perfect for private functions. Staff super friendly, food absolutely banging. Would highly recommend. So fortunate to have such great pub on my doorstep!

We had a fantastic family Sunday roast. I think it would be hard to beat the Black Horse meat was beautifully cooked, generous amount of roast potatoes and vegetables. Only one thing dinner is so filling couldn’t have dessert no room left. Service was great and pub is really friendly.

Had a most delicious Sunday roast dinner with my family today. Two of our party had the roast beef and two of us has the vegetable pastry. The portions were very generous and everything was well presented. Will definitely visit here again.

We came on Thursday (31st August) for an unplanned meal. It was ‘Burger Night’ WOW!!!!! Absolutely AMAZING!!! Best burgers we’ve ever had! Myself and mother in law are vegetarians and by far the tastiest veggie burger we’ve ever eaten! We can’t wait to come back! ?????

Burger night was a huge success & not only for BOGOF. Portion sizes were huge, food was fantastic. Staff were attentive & went above & beyond. Couldn't fault anything. So lucky to have this little Gem of a pub in the village.

Popped in today on the off chance there was a table. The food was the best I have had in a long time (roast beef) Everything from portion sizes and presentation was perfect.. and the cauliflower cheese is to die for!! Lovely friendly staff too. Will most definitely be back!!
