“Chose the spare ribs in BBQ sauce - very meaty and succulent, had a side salad which was very fresh and tasty. Hubby had the chicken and chorizo calzone which he enjoyed. Despite being extremely busy (Friday evening), service was very attentive from lovely, cheerful staff. Great buzzy atmosphere. Really enjoyed our spontaneous night out. Great that we have this restaurant where we live and we can walk there.”

“I just wanted to leave a glowing review to thank Daniella and the rest of the La Fontana team for hosting and catering the wake which followed my mum’s funeral last week. The whole event was a huge success and felt like a very fitting tribute. The team arranged welcome drinks for arriving guests – choice of wines or prosecco, with soft drink options – and laid on an absolutely wonderful Italian buffet – meats, cheeses, salads, sandwiches, pastas, breads, olives, fantastic deserts – all prepared in house, top quality and delicious. We pre-ordered food for 120 guests, and in fact we think at least 150 people attended in the end and were still well fed, with plenty of seating. Daniella was very kind to prepare the room for us, with photos of my mum which we had taken up the day before, as well as a few other mementos. We had use of a big-screen TV to play photo tributes, and the flowers we had arranged were all distributed we around the venue. The team were kind, thoughtful, and it was an occasion which my mum would have loved. Daniella & co made a very difficult time as easy as possible for us. Following the reception, we have received a huge number of messages saying how impressed everyone was with the event (which followed my mum’s service at South Oxfordshire Crematorium, a couple of miles away). Some of the family also stayed at La Fontana’s accommodation, and said how nice that was too. So thank you La Fontana, you have no idea how much the day meant to us, and how happy we are with the way you ensured the day ran perfectly. It was a very befitting tribute to our dear mum, an incredibly sad occasion which felt rather joyful. All the best.”
