This used to be a good fish and chip shop but now the fish is very small and made to look big with loads of soggy batter. Disgusting to eat.

After my bad review of their disgusting food, owner offered us a refund, when we went for our refund the owner said we only had two days to claim it, one of these was Christmas Day, I also notice he is the one who gives his business four good reviews.

A truly dreadful lunch. What happened to the good old tasty fish and chip shops. Have ordered once before and the fish was dreadful. Tried a steak pie and chips this time and it was inedible. Would have gone back if we weren't travelling through. £8.. never again.

Ordered small cod and small chips. The chips tasted like they had been cooked in old oil. The cod wasn’t just small, it was very small. So much so it resembled a large battered sausage (in shape and size). £7.75 for the cod. Disgrace!

Worst fish and chips I have ever had. We ordered four small cod and chips yesterday lunch time on the website and turned up at 12:30 to collect. I think the picture I am going to add says it all, but I will expand. My box contained four thin strips of fish, as you can see from the picture two were beyond over cooked by the dark colour of the batter, the other two although not appearing over cooked were, this was as dry as a bone probably because you are using scraps of fish, the chips were dry and hard, did not eat half of it, the three other portions were the same. Sorry but that’s the last time we use you.

I gave this place a 2nd chnace after having awful food about 3 months ago. I wish I hadn't bothered! Ordered 2 small fish to be given only 2 tiny slithers of fish (mainly batter) and then noticed the server adding goujons. I said I wanted 2 small fish, but she said this was what I was getting. I pointed to 2 small fish in the heated area and asked for those, only to be told they were large fish. The new large, used to be the old small and cannot believe this place is still as bad as some months ago. There was virtually no white fish within the stodgey batter and some of the fish was grey. I'm sorry, will never be back again. I gave it a 2nd chance, but never again. Can we have the original owner back please!
We have supported this fish and chip shop for years. What an earth hS happened to it? We arrived at 9.20 pm 30th December, 40 minutes before closing. We were two cars, two families as friends over from Australia. We took our friends staring how fab it was. How embarrassing! There were no other people there, was kept waiting 40 minutes for 2 portions of chips and child portions of fish goujons and chips. Chips were definitely old and reheated and tasted like there was sand in one portion. 40 minutes for the worst food I've had in a long time. Our friends spent alot of money there for their food and asked why it took so long? They also said that the food was very greasy. I threw my chips away because something definitely in with them. Appalling. Has this place changed hands as this was such a bad experience. Our Australian friends asked "are they out catching the fish"? Had we not driven home I woukd have taken it all back!
