The Three Horseshoes

I've been to the Horseshoes semi-regs for the last three years. I have witnessed first hand the worker uprising that turned into a beautiful story of staff based ownership, and I live for it. The food took a little while to find it's legs under the new ownership but their persistence has paid off, and they've hit the sweet spot of reasonably priced and solid production. The staff are really the highlights, always willing to help and with some of the nattiest dress sense you'll see this side of Paris.Kid-friendliness: The kids love coming along to the Horseshoes. Sunday lunch was their particular highlight!

Blissful Bites

I first became a customer a couple of years ago when I bought a Father’s Day tasting box, the cookies and brownies were cooked to perfection, since then the quality hasn’t changed, they’re still fantastic and they keep me coming back for more.

Gurkha Bar & Restaurant

We were visiting Oxfordshire for a Christmas weekend away. Stumbled across this restaurant on a Friday night. Lovely simple menu of Nepalese, Thai and Indian food. As a family of 4 (2 children age 7 and 10) we ordered lots of dishes and starters for us all to try. Food was beautiful and came out very quickly. All cooked from fresh. Quality was amazing. Staff were very friendly. House red wine was very nice too. We would definitely eat here again if we came back to the town.

The Edge Eatery Ltd.

I’ve just moved to Witney and have been on the hunt for a truly great coffee. The Edge is sublime. Perfect little flat white made on a La Marzocco… a dream. I had The Frank too, and it’s like a sausage and egg Mc muffin on delicious steroids. A dreamy little brunch spot with seemingly super lovely staff, delicious brunch, and the best coffee in town. I can’t wait to return. ?

The Hollybush

Excellent food. Just had Piggies Tummys (or as the posh people who write the menu's call Pork Belly) and it was delicious. Just melted in my mouth. Would highly recommend.

Cambodian Cuisine at the Carpenters Arms

Fat Lil's

One of the best venues I've visited in the UK, without question. It may be small but I really love the intimate feeling you get from seeing different tribute bands playing in there, and it always feels comfortable for me to enjoy live music in without feeling too claustrophobic or unpleasant. Plus the sound is always kickass, the staff are always nice and friendly and it feels like I'm at a 2nd home due to the overall friendly atmosphere I get whilst at a gig there. Because of this, I've been there 5 times for gigs in the space of approximately year and a half, and here's to many more gigs at this wonderful venue. ❤️

The Black Horse

Lovely pub. Came a few years ago and drinks were extortionate but now very reasonable (by Cotswold's standards), lovely staff and always quite busy. Highly recommend. Lovely caravan site next door.

Chequers

Amazing Sunday roast! The staff catered to our needs. Perfectly cooked meat and the red cabbage is to die for! My favourite place for a roast. They also offer a puppy roast, which our Billy loves! Definitely recommend!

The Red Lion

Granddad, grandma, our son and wife + grandchildren. A brilliant lunch with a really good menue for the two grandchildren. My sirloin steak was excellent. The house dry rose was just right (I had two glasses!) I've meant to write a review before but didn't get around to it . . . sorry.

The Fleece

It was recommended to us by a local.It was so delicious that I came here for the second time!This time I had fish and chips and 3 other dishes...I was a little too greedy and ate too much.The environment is very nice, so it might be best to come during the warmer months when you can enjoy it on the open terrace.

Hunters Cake Cafe

Excellent food and coffee, fabulous staff, slightly cramped back room. From the sickliest traybake to coffee cake hunter's had a slice of anything to choose from and all were delectable, generously sliced and reasonably priced. The coffee was tasty, service was familiar even on my first visit, we will be returning and spreading the word!

Costa Coffee

Lovely staff, great customer service but the manager seems rude and seemed to treat his staff poorly when I visited. They deserve better for the hard work they do

Jolly Sportsman

Traditional pub in the middle of the village. Good beer and basic pub food. TV sport, pool table and Aunt Sally, 2 bars and outside courtyard. Good prices and friendly staff.

Curry Paradise

One of my fav places to go for a cheeky Indian. Lovely staff, lovely food, less star is could use a little modernising but this doesn't reflect on their food

Shaan Restaurant

After 3 return visits, Shaan Restaurant more than deserves a glowing review. Between us we've had a range of dishes and all of them have been tasty and worth every penny. I have no doubt we'll be back many more times.The service is present and attentive without being warm hence the 4 stars.

Witney Lakes Resort

I’m really enjoying my membership at Witney Lakes. The classes are excellent (particularly Kim’s spinning classes) with a huge variety available across the day. The gym is clean and well equipped. I haven’t fully explored the workout app yet, but I think the option to record a workout at the tap of your membership card is very clever - and motivating. The booking app is very easy to use, and even if a class is fully booked it’s always worth popping yourself on the waiting list as a space inevitably becomes available. Just keep an eye out for the alerts! The steam & sauna rooms are a an added bonus, and I enjoy The Lounge for some quiet relaxation or to get on with some work. The staff on the front desk are always cheerful and helpful. And boring - but important - there is plenty of parking. No reason not to stick to my fitness resolutions this year!

The Codfather Fish & Chips

First time ordering from here! Got to say I’m impressed. The chips and fish weren’t to greasy, the fish tasted fresh and cooked to perfection. Curry sauce was the best they have tasted. Would recommend and will definitely be calling again! Thank you for the lovely food and excellent

Pizza Express

Absolutely incredible experience, the food was top notch, some of the best pizza I've ever had. And the service was just exquisite, this very nice girl named Alana I believe was just so helpful and made the pizza express experience a 5 star.

Witney Kebab House

We ordered a combo kabab with chicken and lamb sheesh, a donna, kebab, chips and popcorn chicken and it was all spot on with fresh crisp salad and delivered within 35 minutes. Good work

I just wanna say thank you to the people in USA fried chicken last night they were extremely nice despite all the noise the drunken crowd were making and I also want to apologise as I was wearing my earpods to drown out the noise when I ordered my pizza I hope I didn't come across rude.

I ordered collection and they made a mistake on my first order, they remade and gave me BOTH pizzas. Can’t complain with free pizza not to mention it was amazing. 100% recommend, will be going

Off The Hook fish and chips and pizza

We had good old fish and chips between 5 of us, and it was huge pieces of fish and enough chips to sink the titanic. It's very tasty, hot, and scrummy. I'm looking forward to going up soon to visit our family and having another chippy dinner.

Old Swan

We stayed here in January for the night as we were visiting Bicester Village which isn’t far away at all.All the staff were lovely & couldn’t be more accommodating. What I didn’t know was my now fiancé had arranged our engagement in one of the rooms and the stay was perfect!!! We even had breakfast and the breakfast was great. Thanks to everyone our stay was one we will always remember!!!
