We need to dine in more as the location has been updated recently and looks gorgeous. The staff are always polite and helpful and the owners are so lovely. Sue Shop also owned by them is a fantastic resource in Witney. We are so lucky to have them in our local area!

62a High St, WitneyQuite simply the best breakfast and brunch in Oxfordshire! Edge has been a favourite for years now and for good reason, their food tastes amazing! We’ve visited countless cafes in Oxfordshire and too many are style over substance but not the Edge where flavour is King as it should be.
My personal favs include the French Toast, Hot Honey Chicken Bagel, Salt Beef Bagel/Sando and the new Chicken Sando (which I voted to be added to the menu - you’re welcome).

Becky was so friendly and approachable from the very start – she really took the time to make sure we got exactly the cake we wanted. The end result was amazing – it looked absolutely stunning and tasted even better! We had so many lovely compliments from our guests. Becky is just lovely to deal with and clearly puts so much care into what she does. Highly recommend!

The hospitality is absolutely fantastic owners are brilliant love a chat witch i always find lovely/ helpful and the food i top notch like no other Restaurant I've been to!! The Peshawar nann was fantastic, korma to die for and well don't get me started on the madras or the starters else I would be here all day ?♀️? absolutely fantastic ? ?

We were warmly welcomed at the door by the friendly staff and offered a glass of fizz. The tables were all decorated beautifully and there was a festive atmosphere. The service was very efficient and all the food was beautifully presented and delicious. We had preordered and had place cards with our choices on. One of us is gluten free and this was made clear with every course by the staff which was reassuring. The Christmas crackers were good quality and the cloth santa hat at each place instead of a paper one was a nice touch, plus we got to take them home with us! Overall, it was a fantastic experience and the staff did an amazing job. We all had a brilliant Christmas lunch, many thanks.

I asked what the staff recommened and the lady advised that the 'Sub Rolls' are going down a treat with other guests. I oredered the Philly Steak and it was beautiful. I wasnt expecting anything big being a sub roll but I couldnt finish it. It was so full inside definetaly good value for money. Cant wait to try the rest

39 High St, WitneyI recently tried the buffet and found it to offer excellent value for money. The chicken kebabs were particularly enjoyable—juicy with well-balanced spice levels. The lamb, however, was slightly tough, and the ice creams didn’t quite meet expectations. That said, overall it was a positive experience and I would be happy to return.
It was good value at £16.95 but now it’s £22.95 which a huge hike and not worth it in my opinion.

1 Market Square, WitneyWe had the absolute pleasure of visiting Ye Old Cross Keys, and it’s safe to say this gem of a pub exceeded every expectation. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm, authentic, and quintessentially English, the kind of place that makes you instantly feel at home.
The star of the evening, without a doubt, was Bex, the bartender. She is nothing short of brilliant: friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. You can tell she takes pride in making sure every guest feels looked after, and her energy brings so much life to the pub. She’s the sort of person who turns a good night into a great one.
As for the food, it was exactly what you hope for when you come to a traditional English pub. The fish and chips were golden, crisp, and perfectly cooked, with flaky fish inside and that satisfying crunch on the outside, served with proper chips that tasted like comfort on a plate. The pie and mash was equally outstanding: hearty, rich, and bursting with flavour, with a buttery pastry crust that sealed the deal. Both dishes felt homemade in the best possible way, cooked with care and love.
All in all, Ye Old Cross Keys is everything a pub should be: excellent food, a warm and authentic atmosphere, and above all, staff who make the experience unforgettable. If you’re lucky enough to have Bex behind the bar, you’re in for an exceptional time. We’ll definitely be back!

The food was good, especially the garlic bread, and main courses we had. Decent portions, reasonable value. Nice atmosphere. Staff were friendly, and service was quick. Parking, two large lots is about a 10 minute walk away, but is free 24/7. Happy to go back there if in the area.

Shockingly, I’m yet to try the food, but it will come very soon I assure you, as if the rest of the experience is anything to go by, I will not be disappointed at all.
I only visit with a friend of mine, who now lives in wales, when he comes home, and he is as hooked as I am.
The two time deserving winner of Cllr Liam Walker’s pub of the year award, this one isn’t one to miss. Exceptional, can’t wait to return.

The golfing facility is good quality, Deana the head coach for Golf is ridiculously good and the absolute jewel in The Crown. However, I write this review because after 10 years, I’ve just had the best customer experience I have ever hard from reception! Thank you, Sophie for being polite, engaging and just overall friendly, you are a real attribute to the club.

68 Main Rd, Long Hanborough, WitneyA large goup of anglers all met up at a local fishery, we all pre ordered our food and it duly arrived, I had a steak and gravy pie and chips with extra gravy, Cracking bit of pie, nice and juicy, lovely chips, a blend of crispy bits and soft fluffy interiors with a crisp shell, good portion size too and the extra gravy pot was BANGING! A few cheeky mushy peas and some ketchup sorted me right out! 20 years as a chef myself before I left the trade. its a win from me! Thanks Guys!

USA Fried Chicken in Witney is hands down serving the best pizza around. I had one last night and it was so good that I ended up going back again tonight — that’s how unreal it was. The base is perfect, the toppings are packed with flavour, and the whole thing tastes fresh, proper, and miles better than any other takeaway in the area.
If you haven’t tried their pizza yet, you’re seriously missing out. Absolutely top-quality food, great service, and consistent every time. Highly recommend giving it a go — you won’t regret it! ??

It simply wasn't there!
I stopped at this lay by, yes. I was too early for the nearby caravan site where I had booked and this was handy for a short park up.
There were two chairs and a table at one end, so, obviously, when it's there, it is used, but not on the day I parked.
Parts of the road surface crumbling away but nothing exceptional for this quite large stop over.

Wanted to sit inside as it was so hot outside but one table by the bar was making enough noise for the entire room and I was not interested in the conversation. The Mason is in a fantastic location in the beautiful village of South Leigh just outside Witney. It's honey stone walls and thatched roof set it up as a wonderful pub.

Lunch was only marred by a couple complaining that the menu had changed and did not include what they had come in for. For clarity, this is stated on the website, as it's a seasonal menu. The full current menu is also posted by the front door, and there's plenty to choose from. But, this was all handled so well by the wait staff and manager, with patience and understanding. Lovely staff, genuinely dog friendly pub, and a nice pint. We'll see you again when we're next in Witney!

But today we found this gem in Witney.
The gentleman behind the counter was very patient and answered all our questions. The meal was delicious. Perhaps a little more juice/liquid would have been nice, but yum. We will be returning regularly to try all their dishes.

Evans Rd, Eynsham, WitneyWe ordered a Frozen-themed cake from Becky at Blissful Bites for my little girl's joint birthday party, and I honestly can't say enough good things! Becky was so friendly and approachable from the very start – she really took the time to make sure we got exactly the cake we wanted. The end result was amazing – it looked absolutely stunning and tasted even better! We had so many lovely compliments from our guests. Becky is just lovely to deal with and clearly puts so much care into what she does. Highly recommend!

133 Main Rd, Long Hanborough, WitneyTook mum for lunch as I'm working on mothers day and we were not disappointed. Right from the time we arrived, we were treated impeccably. The two young lads in the restaurant were excellent. Attentive, polite and knowledgeable. The food was fantastic. Tasty, good portions and it was clear the kitchen staff take pride in their work. Highly recommended. Thank you ?

The hospitality is absolutely fantastic owners are brilliant love a chat witch i always find lovely/ helpful and the food i top notch like no other Restaurant I've been to!! The Peshawar nann was fantastic, korma to die for and well don't get me started on the madras or the starters else I would be here all day ?♀️? absolutely fantastic ? ?

22 Corn St, WitneyHad the best Sunday roast we’ve had in Witney . Could not fault it. We had the sirloin of beef, Chicken and pork roasts - all were exceptional! Great Yorkies too. We will be back and would highly recommend. Thank you for fitting us in. Ellie and family ?
