The most disappointing meal of my whole life (and I’ve eaten rodents under a hedge in a war zone) Normally Premier Inn is a safe bet with Beefeater or some mid range pub attached. When you pay £200 for a ‘plus’ room and restaurant… well we just assumed a Beefeater was the basic expectation. But oh no - Premier Inn Witney has what appears to be a small Costa that has been converted and serves food a truckers’ caravan would be embarrassed by. IF you could get it. Things from the menu: Peroni? (Not available) Glass of Prosecco? (You have to buy the bottle) Bruschetta? (Turned out to be a small garlic pizza with ONE cherry tomato on top). And in the £200 room? - well the carpet is different but the bed is the same and we only got one towel.I mean the whole experience was SO awful I genuinely expected Basil Fawlty to turn up … but then at least that would have made it funny.Premier Inn would not be my first choice but I thought it was a safe choice but their brand reputation has been destroyed for me by Premier Inn Witney.

Bit of a run-down hotel. Premier Inn standard not kept. Staff are friendly and helpful, but need more in numbers.

Stayed at the Premier Inn at Whitney yesterday for one night, as visiting ‘Crocodiles Of The World’ for our sons 8th Birthday. The hotel didn’t know it was our sons Birthday in the morning but in the evening I spoke to a really helpful lady named Lia when booking breakfast and when we turned up in the morning for breakfast, Lia had made a surprise birthday present and had put decorations at our table. This really started the day with a positive and happy vibe. Our son was absolutely delighted. Thank you Lia and team.Nearby activities: Crocodiles Of The World - Was brilliant.

Premier Inn Witney - If I could give less than a 1 star review I would! The WORST service I have ever received! Premier Inn Witney should be ashamed.Myself and my partner booked 11 rooms through their group bookings page last year for the night before our wedding. We never received any payment links but had an email to say if we hadn’t paid by a certain date, all of our rooms would be cancelled. The date for this got closer and closer and we chased the hotel MULTIPLE times to pay off all of the rooms and ensure they wouldn’t be cancelled. We live over 2 hours away so just turning up to the hotel was not an option. We must have contacted the reception desk over 50 times and could not get a response and when calling Premier Inn head office - we were told “sorry, you need to deal with the hotel directly”. And didn’t offer any help whatsoever to get in contact. My partner was crying worried that all of our rooms were going to be cancelled and we would have no where to stay before our wedding (Stress which we did not need to be dealing with!!). This eventually got sorted, even though payment should have been the easiest thing to do!!!!!We then arrived at the hotel, and it was absolutely atrocious. The names on our rooms were wrong even after the hotel had confirmed in an email they had been changed, and because of GDPR they could not tell us the names associated with each room. When we got in to our rooms, at least 6 of them had windows that would not open, so the rooms smelt like damp, wet and mould. We then went down to report that one of the rooms smelt that bad that the occupants asthma was playing up, to which the HOTEL MANAGER responded saying “well there’s nothing we can do, we’re full. Take this room spray up with you” which made his asthma even worse! At least 6 of the rooms complained that their room was freezing - when this was reported the receptionist said they were having an issue with their heating and there’s nothing they can do. The manager was extremely rude and unapproachable and kept telling us how busy she was, which was not well received as it was the night before our wedding. We spent pretty much all night in the hotel lobby either complaining about the state of the hotel rooms, or trying to check people in because all of the names were wrong. When I was on my honeymoon in December, I wrote a complaint to the feedback team explaining everything that happened - and they responded saying that no issues were logged on the night of our stay by the reception team?????? Even though we spent most of our night in reception complaining - why would they report issues for things THEY have done wrong?? I suggested for them to check their CCTV footage and they will see that we did complain. I have been back and forth with this team until January this year where they told me “sorry you will have to deal with the hotel directly”.I spoke to a lady (eventually) at Premier Inn Witney and she assured me she would get a response and get this sorted the day after. I never heard ANYTHING from this, so I called again and she apologised, saying she will 100% get me an answer the day after. I heard nothing again and I called again last week and spoke to someone called Chris who says he is now the hotel manager, he promised me he would have a resolution for me before last Thursday. I have heard nothing again so have chased up today.I honestly cannot believe the level of service we have received from this company - I should NOT AS THE CUSTOMER be having to chase a company for receiving horrendous service as we have. I will never use this company again.

When we checked in we had to use the automated station to get our key, and where greeted at our room by the previous occupants refusing to leave. The manager was in the room and we asked several times what they were going to do for us as we were not going to be staying in that room in any case, they ignored us completely and proceeded to pick up mugs and towels. We went down to reception and rang the bell for atleast 5 minutes before someone came, who tried to tell us the manager was deaf (which she wasn't as she was rude to us and another custom in the morning and heard both of us quite clearly). The lady at reception who sorted us another room was friendly enough but clearly stressed by the understaffed hole this place was. But what topped off our stay was how rude the young lady preparing the food was, we were told we had to put our order for vegan portions of our food in with her and when we tried she was wearing her airpods and wouldn't make eye contact before disappearing into the back, which made us go back to the first member of staff to complete our order and reorganise the young lady. They tried to explain to us how understaffed they were but that doesn't excuse the rudeness we encountered or that they could have sorted that the terminal didn't give us the key to the room to the problem and allow us to come into a situation that could have been a lot worse than it immediately appeared to be. This may be a cheap stay in the cotswolds but pay a little more and go to one of the several nicer places in the area and avoid the stress centre this place is.

Stayed for 2 nights 9th to 11th February. Reception, room, food, service, staff and cleanliness all top marks.Fresh water and extra tea making facilities at reception.Room was warm and comfortable.Useful information available re taxis and eating places. The list of restaurants isn’t completely up to date but a very helpful guide and we ate at a lovely Thai restaurant in Witney starting with a fab pint next door at the Angel inn.The pedestrian route to Witney is a lovely 10 minute walk.I don’t eat meat and the plant based sausages are delicious and the rest of the breakfast has variation and is lovely. We actually forgot to tip unfortunately for a 2 night stay but staff deserve to be tipped and to receive very positive feedback.Thank you for a lovely and good value stay. I highly recommend and not sure if we’ll be in the area again but wouldn’t look to book anywhere else.We didn’t have children with us but they appeared to be made very welcome.

Fantastic stay at Witneys Premier Inn.After a shocking 24hrs, Chris sorted me out with a room and early check in. Great service immediately.Rooms were typical Premier Inn (perfect). Great nights sleep.Breakfast was very good (as expected)Dinner was very good (as expected) a lady called Ann was very friendly and professional. This stay reminded me why Premier Inns are the best "budget" hotels. Recently stayed in a travel lodge and the difference in attention to detail is like night and day.Rooms: Premier inn Quality (high)Nearby activities: Witney is a beautiful town with nice coffee shops and restaurants.Safety: Felt very safe, quiet location, friendly local staff.Walkability: Close to town centre.Next to a quiet mcdonalds (didn't even notice it was there)Food & drinks: Food and coffee great.

Staff are exceptional. My friend and I had a fab evening meal and an amazing breakfast with everything we could want. She felt the same as I did. We even turned up on the wrong night( we haven't stop laughing) my fault. And the Polish lady on the desk was so lovely and polite. Everyone was. We felt like royalty. The young man on the kitchen was lovely and he worked hard. Kitchen looked spotless and the man who cooked our breakfast did me some really runny eggs on my polite request and he too was amazing. Our room was spotless and the TV a good size although we didn't use it. Great to have the Wi fi. I'm from Wales my friend not far away from hotel in Buford. But it was fun just to come and be treated so fabulous. Thank You Everyone. We'll be back.Rooms: One small problem the single bed was very uncomfortable. I could feel the inside on my hips and back. I suffer with arthritis. I had single,my friend had double hers was fabulous. Maybe a topper on single? Would help.
