A great pub for food at lunch time and drink any

Truth Teller

Without doubt the worst pub I've ever been in.The locals are really cliquey, unfriendly and the service is poor. They just stare at you and look away when you walk in. You can tell they're regulars and all in one big gang who do not welcome outsiders. It's a miserable looking place inside , drab and depressing. Tatty dirty furniture. We brought some friends in here and we were so embarrassed we threw our drinks down and left.I cannot believe anyone at all can post a glowing review of this dump. Its got to be the regulars, because trust me.....any pub loving person would never patronise this awful place. What a pity, its in such a pretty location and could be wonderful. We won't be returning.

Tatty chairs, no atmosphere, out of date music, possibly for older generations??

A good ol' fashioned English pub. Pleasant and a welcome smile when you walk in. Not a gastro pub at all, just a simple place to have a drink.

Went in to grab a quick drink before they closed 4 people in there and 1 barmaid who didn't even look up from her phone so no greeting or anything so we walked straight back out again and went to another pub which was more welcoming
