Sat and had a drink with my wife, dog and baby in the autumnal sunshine in the courtyard. Lovely space for a bit of sun and quiet away from the busy streets of Woodstock on a Sunday. Good service and a family friendly atmosphere.

Lovely old building, bedroom was large and well furnished, big well-appointed bathroom. Fairly average food but good service and altogether a pleasant 2 night stay.Rooms: Large well appointed roomsNearby activities: Blenheim Palace , amazing building with wonderful parkland and incredible rooms - opulent and rich - beyond your average stately home.Safety: Seemed quite safeWalkability: Can walk to Blenheim PalaceFood & drinks: Average foodNoteworthy details: Woodstock is a most attractive town

Great old building, loved our room with beams. The room was clean and well equipped. Staff were friendly and helpful. Plenty of parking at the back of the hotel. Lovely location in a fantastic small town. Ideal if visiting Blenheim as it is walkable. My only criticism is that the food and drinks were a little on the expensive side.

Excellent weekend - thank you. Good food and service; onsite parking a big bonus plus proximity to Blenheim, Oxford City and The Cotswolds. It’s an old fashioned country coaching inn which has been updated really well. Comfortable quiet and very enjoyable.Food & drinks: Good hearty breakfast options which kept us going all day and very enjoyable dinner

A hotel of two parts. Fantastic room in a smart and modern room, which maintained its old character with its beams. Very average supper in an old fashioned room. Not impressed that at breakfast there was a £6 supplement for avocado on toast, eggs benefict and another but a full English was standard price. I would return, but dine elsewhere in the evening.Rooms: Beautiful and spacious.
Been before, will go back, never liked the idea of putting the gratuity on the restaurant bill, that was around £12 we were going to give £20, should be up to the customer not taken auto. Otherwise all was good.
