I've stayed here twice now. My room was fabulous, it overlooked the main road in Woodstock and was very quiet.The staff were lovely and helpful.I will definitely go back again.Nearby activities: Nearby is Blenheim Palace and the Oxfordshire museum. It's a great spot as the Cotswolds are close by too.
Great location in downtown Woodstock and generally quiet in the evening as well. That said, the room didn’t really have AC which made our stay during a heatwave difficult, and the staff weren’t especially friendly. Although there wasn’t anything outright offensive about their behavior. Skip the hotel bar and head across the street to the Star Inn which has a much greater selection of brews and a lovely atmosphere. This was such a beautiful, interesting and historic place. The service was fantastic at every level. Everyone did whatever they could to make sure you had what you needed, from a special cup of coffee to an escort to the pharmacist.Rooms: Great comfort for a place that's 1,000 years old.Nearby activities: Blenheim Palace is right next door.Walkability: The town was safe and interesting. Blenheim Palace is a short walk away.
