We had a meal here last Sunday evening to celebrate Mother’s Day and it was fantastic. Lovely welcoming staff, cosy warm restaurant, delicious food and a totally unexpected treat for the three mothers in our group. And they are dog friendly! We loved our visit and will definitely be back!

Meal with friends and family. Menu catering for all tastes and food was really flavoursome. Service was great and the atmosphere helped make it such an enjoyable afternoon.

We were staying in Woodstock and found this lovely hotel when looking for evening meal options. It was so good that we visited twice.Menu options were limited but good. The chicken supreme and fish and chips were so tasty and good value for money. The burger, whilst cooked exactly to my liking, maybe less so. But the onion rings were to die for!My wine was lovely if a bit pricey at £12.50 per 250ml. But I'd order it again. As for the service, excellent. Evi was amazing as were the other 2 ladies. Friendly, attentive and they remembered us and fitted us in on the second visit.I'd recommend you visit. You won't be disappointed.Margaret

Lovely meal.Food & drinks: Lots of options on the menu (although potentially only one veggie option - though my friend said it was delicious) and alcohol-free beer ?

Great location - little bit pricey food but worth it in the cold!

Walked in for drinks, asked for the food menu but they said that they don’t take walk ins. Out of interest, as it was quiet, we checked online and they were taking bookings so we booked a table for 30 minutes later. They then gave us the menu and told us to wait a little bit. At 5.30 (exactly) the waiter comes to tell us that he cannot serve us stating a ridiculous reason (a person was not feeling well and they had to call the ambulance for him). So we were left with two toddlers and no dinner options. He was “nice” to suggest alternatives but none of them were taking any bookings or opened. If you don’t need/want more business, at least have the decency to let people know as soon as possible, not after they order more drinks, and you tell them three times to wait that you’re setting the table… We are locals but we’ll never return!

Great location for my Sunday lunch. At the moment very christmas like inside and warm. Very comfortable public bar.My nut roast is excellent. My beer too.Perfect fuel to walk around the Palace.

Stayed elsewhere so can't comment on rooms etc, After visiting Blenheim went for a late lunch. Slow service obviously staff shortages. Had to ask for drinks then again to place food order, not ideal and wouldn't suit anyone who is time limited, on a parking restriction for example. Food good but trying to get extra drinks and pay the bill was a challenge. Two pumps, out of beer had to settle for third choice. Perhaps the manager/owners should review how they prepare for the day and one extra pair of hands front of house would make a big difference. Perhaps complacent because tourists means no need to try harder.

Food is not great. Only came here to eat with our kids. The chips were absolutely dripping with oil and the battered fish was also. You could literally squeeze the oil out. The burger was tiny and left me still hungry. The kids pizza was a microwave job which they left. The glass for my cider was wet and dirty, I ended up drinking it out of a the bottle. The waitresses were not trained and they decided to sit down and all eat together forgetting about us and leaving a table next to us covered in dirty cutlery. We had to ask for drinks when we arrived and had to ask for the bill when we left. They really need to shake things up here.We won’t be coming back
