“Friendly staff, and delicious food. Attended for Sunday dinner roast at 4pm-ish, to be told roast chickens were sold out, but if prepared to wait for 45 mins would be cooked fresh. Glad we did, it was piping hot, roasted vegetables, "WHOLE CHICKEN" presented for us to carve at leisure. Attentive staff who kept us informed of progress and pleasant conversation. We had visited for lunch time sandwich previously, glad we returned. Food was solid pub grub, well delivered! A great experience , good beer too, the staff should be proud of their offering. This is perhaps not the place "to be seen" in the area, but a pleasant atmosphere/experience.....hope to see you another year when we visit Rutland.”
