The Royal Oak
High St, StamfordWe have visited this place a few times, and the royal oak has a relaxed atmosphere and has lots of charm.the food is fabulous ?.staff are very friendly. There's a great taste in chill out music playing in the background, which all added to a very pleasant afternoon. There is also a large pub carpark across the road, and we will definitely be coming back .

Stamford Rd, South Luffenham, StamfordFriendly staff, and delicious food. Attended for Sunday dinner roast at 4pm-ish, to be told roast chickens were sold out, but if prepared to wait for 45 mins would be cooked fresh. Glad we did, it was piping hot, roasted vegetables, "WHOLE CHICKEN" presented for us to carve at leisure. Attentive staff who kept us informed of progress and pleasant conversation. We had visited for lunch time sandwich previously, glad we returned. Food was solid pub grub, well delivered! A great experience , good beer too, the staff should be proud of their offering. This is perhaps not the place "to be seen" in the area, but a pleasant atmosphere/experience.....hope to see you another year when we visit Rutland.
