Been here as many times as there are dishes on the main menu. Impeccable service, very relaxed, attentive staff, excellent food and competitive pricing. Unlicensed so you're welcome to take whatever drinks you want. Extremely vegetarian friendly. The staff and chefs are very accommodating if you want to customise your order. They can explain every dish to you if you're unsure about spiciness or heat and will offer advice when ordering. In a cheerful and fun way. We even got to take a look in the kitchen and meet the chefs. Which demonstrates their quality and openness. With 40 odd years experience of curry houses I have to concede this is one of, if not the best and most consistent restaurants I've visited. They occasionally add changes to the menu and it just gets better. If you are local or find yourself in Oakham, "as your attorney I advise you to eat here". They are family friendly and will accommodate kids with picky tastes. To summarise, without prejudice, 100 %. Doesn't get much better than this whether it's a romantic dinner for 2 or a table for 12 (booking necessary) you won't be disappointed. If you are there's a McDonald's down the road. Not that there's anything wrong with McDonald's whatsoever. They also offer a take out service but not delivery. Cash only, just so you know.

We were impressed with 10 Dining Street. The place was immaculate, the service from friendly, attentive staff was excellent and the food was superb. Highly recommended. Don't forget to take cash and your own drinks.

The entrance is not obviously that of a restaurant so it would be easy to think it is just a house front door. Once inside, the atmosphere is so welcoming, the staff very attentive and the service punctual. The food was truly delicious and I am sad I live too far away to go often.

Superb meal. The Chicken Rezalla was new to me but was a very tasty and flavoursome medium-hot spiced curry.The Keema and Garlic Naan was really good too. My son had the number 10 biriani and said it was the best he'd ever had and my wife really enjoyed her lamb saag too. All in all great food and great service, just remember to bring your own alcohol as they only serve soft drinks!

I have had several nice meals and takeaways from here over the years. Last weekend we ordered a takeaway ... It was the worst I have ever experienced any where in the UK. A Chicken Tikka Masala ... the staple of the Indian restaurants. Easy to get right you'd think. Wrong ... I got bits of chicken (6 or so) floating in a sea of what tasted like watered-down mango chutney, dyed red. No onion, peppers, tomatoes and worse still no flavour or heat. The chicken pasanda (my daughter's) was as bad, yellow mango chutney, but it did have a nut in the sauce.

Ordered a few dishes as takeaways. The staff were friendly and threw in a couple of poppadoms free of charge. The dishes were fine, but not great. It may be the best curry house in Oakham, but I would personally make the trip to Leicester for something a bit more authentic.

Was advised by a lovely lady from the fab shop Snapdragon, and we weren't disappointed! Polite greeting and service. Plates hot, just the way I like them. Food incredibly tasty and best I've had for a long time. Would highly recommend and will certainly come back when we visit from North Yorkshire.
Although the reviews were all extremely positive for this restaurant, the experience completely surpassed expectations! We were blown away with the quality of food and flavors and will certainly be visiting again when we are nearby. The children also told us how much they enjoyed dinner, and the clear plates said it all. Bring your own alcoholic drinks also made for a quirky experience which we really enjoyed. Thanks again

Best Indian in Oakham! Table of 16 for my partners birthday, from the moment we booked the staff were great at communication and getting us the right menu choices for such a large group. Couldn't fault the service it was amazing as always and the food was Amazing too! Big thankyou!

We've been eating regularly at 10 D/S for the last 3 years and of all the Indian restaurants we have ever visited in the last 40 years it is our clear favourite. All of the dishes are unique to the restaurant, cooked from scratch by people who really care about the quality of the meals that they serve. Every dish is freshly prepared and cooked - I was fortunate to be invited to the kitchen to speak to the chefs- their passion for the food that they prepare was obvious. You won't find any of the generic Indian main meals here that are churned out by your regular Indian restaurant. The owner of the restaurant is very much 'hands on' and loves to talk about the food that they serve- he can wax lyrical on the various ingredients, spices meats and provenance. His staff are all very friendly and professional, sharing his same enthusiasm.

On holiday in the area and visited no 10 with friends and first going in April. We had a good mix of poppadoms and starters all excellent. Star of the show were the different lamb main dishes we chose. Lamb really tender and meals spiced to your requested taste, all the sundries were excellent as well. What really makes the resteraunt though is the friendly knowledge staff, nothing is too much trouble. It's also byo beer, which cuts down on cost. We visited from Stretton Lakes and was well worth travelling for.
