Arrived at 15.05. The kitchen closes at 15.00 but the owner welcomed me and did me some food. The atmosphere was lovely and welcoming and the staff couldn't do enough for me. Will definitely

The staff are lovely and very welcoming. The food is delicious and the coffee is one of the best in town. Definitely recommend.Dietary restrictions: They offer gluten free options and dairy free options.Kid-friendliness: They are very welcoming to children. There are also kids options in the menu.

Really good food using quality ingredients, and great value too. Atmosphere is relaxed yet buzzy.Dietary restrictions: They provide a range of gluten free options, without fuss, including gf bread for sandwiches and toasties, and plenty of delicious cakes.

Hungry Birds is a wonderful cafe which my wife and I visit whenever we get to Oakham. The food is lovely, my favourites being the Welsh Rarebit and once December arrives the mince pies.The cakes look fantastic ( I personally don’t eat many cakes) and the breakfasts are great.It’s a cafe that gives great, friendly service and very good value for money. Thanks from Ian and JuliaKid-friendliness: I can only say that I’ve witnessed how well young families are looked after when we’ve visited and how happy they’ve looked.We are both retired so haven’t taken children there but would highly recommend this cafe to all families.

A great little cafe. We enjoyed a tuna wrap and a chicken tikka wrap with salad. We also had a hot chocolate which was the best we've had in a long time, lovely and hot too!
