The wife and I visit here often... it's definitely becoming a habit. The food is amazing, and the coffee is smooth and moreish. The staff are welcoming, but be aware that there is limited seating, so you may need to reserve!

Cracking cake stop on a Sunday morning ride! Friendly staff and quick service! Nutella Oat slice was divine and the oat flat white also! 10/10 would recommend!

My wife and I have visited the area a couple of times the last few years. Found the place by accident first time and have not been anywhere else for breakfast since. Not the biggest and we always book in advance but a very pleasant atmosphere. The food is great and well-cooked. and thr coffee is brilliant. Also a mention for the staff who were great with us, and with everyone who was in the shop during our visits. A shame it is not nearer where we live.

Popped in to get a coffee whilst visiting Oakham, coffee is of a very high standard, as well as being locally sourced. This is a really nice little establishment. The staff are really friendly and welcoming. The food also looked really tasty, so we will definitely pop in for food as well next time. Well worth a visit!

Delicious food, with a great menu. I like the freshness & lovely smoothies. The only thing I don’t like is when they clean the tables.. the spray lingering in the air and isn’t nice when you’re eating.. would be better if they sprayed the cloth instead. Otherwise it’s lovely!

What a find! They squeezed us in for breakfast/brunch. The Breakfast Naan was delicious and the pancakes looked amazing too. My kids had poached eggs & bacon sandwiches. Definitely recommend

Very cute coffee shop with excellent coffee selection and food. We enjoyed a simple breakfast and especially loved the sourdough bread they used. The service was great and food fresh. Wouldn’t hesitate to go make The Larder a regular stop.
Great food...amazing coffee... and super friendly helpful team! Thank you so much for providing a much needed distraction to our baby so we could quickly refuel! You have no idea how much we needed it x

Simply the best we have encountered for years, high quality in every area, a must when you visit Oakham. Superb, affordable and great tasting.

The food is amazing. The staff are really friendly. But dog friendly is taken too far. The place is small and the last time I visited there were six dogs, including two larger dogs. They were barking at each other, lying in the aisles, jumping up at people. I get that’s what dogs do. But it’s not what I want when I go for breakfast. It’s the second time I’ve been in recent months and there have been too many dogs in such a small space. If you love dogs/have a dog you want to take Im sure it’s great. But if not it’s best to leave it for dog owners.

This place is REALLY popular with people who enjoy having their dogs accompany them to the cafe.If you're not a fan of dogs I wouldn't recommend, which is a shame as the food is bloody delicious and the service always super friendly. As someone who isn't comfortable with dogs, it's not great. The last three times I've gone there have been too many dogs in such a small place. This morning there were five dogs, I got jumped on by at least two, they got agitated at each other and regular barking, and I couldn't get out as every aisle had a dog laying in it. If you love dogs this is probably paradise. This was similar to my other experiences, although usually fewer dogs.So this review is for those of us who find dogs overwhelming, as fair warning of what to expect.

Excellent chance find for lunch in Oakham. We both had the Katsu Chicken Salad Bowl which was delicious served with rice and slaw and fresh salad leaves. Staff were friendly and cafe had a good ambiance. Will return to try their attractive cake selection!
