I ordered a half portion of chicken fillets and garlic mayo dip(Nochips, no salt, just vinegar). I ended up with an extra chicken fillet, a small amount of chips and my dip. (They gave me slightly more than i ordered, absolutely amazing). I got home, i dug in, the batter, was crispy and yet still a tiny bit moist, preserving the juicyness and taste of the chicken, meaning absolute perfectly cooked to precision. I would give them a 10/10, no qualms, this team know what they are doing and are trained to absolute perfection. :). This isn not the first time I've experienced this absolutel perfectly fried chicken, but now I am determined for you to try it, and recieve this incredible gift of fantasticly perfectly cooked battered chicken. TRY IT! It's amazing!

We were looking for a fish and chip shop in aberdeen and decided to visit fish n hook. Best fish and chips for a long time! Lovely light batter and the freshest fish. The fish cakes were well flavoured and homemade very tasty. good sized portions we will be back on our next trip up to Aberdeen.

Best fish and chips in town bar none. We had friends round and everyone enjoyed it. Beautifully white tasty fish and chips with a crisp edge to them. The only thing I would suggest is to change to the boxes that have a separate area for the fish. If you have any distance to go, by the time you get home the batter on the bottom of the fish is a greasy mess on the chips.

The best fish supper in town, and ive sampled a lot. They do an amazing panko crumb haddock. Perfectly cooked chips. The cajun chicken fillets are always the bomb too. My go too pay day treat!

A previous reviewer wrote the fish n' chips here were "to die for." So, on our way back to Edinburgh, we detoured to Aberdeen so our fish loving friends could taste for themselves. It's true, they said. This is the best. A single serving of the lightly battered haddock is enough to feed two adults.

Far superior to Stonehaven's 'The Bay' in its beautifully crispy, but not too dry batter, tender fish and a balance of flavour.
What can I say? Travelled all the way from NI to taste what very possibly were the best fish and chips in Scotland. So wish you were on my doorstep but your breaded haddock and scampi were divine! Honestly that's how good you are, I nearly finished my husband's, after clearing my own!

It is probably the best chippy I’ve tried. Deserve to have won the best chippy in Scotland. We ordered- Scampi 5* out of 5- Haddock 4*- Onion rings 4*- Macaroni pie 3*- Fish cake 2* (too much potatoe. Hardly any fish)Despite taking 25mins to reach our destination, the batter was still crispy. I wonder what premium oil they used to present the freshness.Only a takeout. No place to eat!
