Staff were welcoming, friendly and informative. Food was delicious and cooked to perfection. Lunch menu offer was great value for money with ample portions. The salad bar had a great selection to choose from. What a lovely choice for a relaxing meal.

Great pub food, lousy and disappointing service. Some staff seemed disturbed and even annoyed by our presence. We prebooked by phone a table for 5. On arrival, we were greeted after a good couple of minutes of waiting, even if the place was empty - being Jan the 1st. The waitresses were having their break/meal at the bar and where bothered by our presence; none of them wanted to get up. Finally, after one of them decided to come up, she told us that they didn't have much choice of food...hoping we would say 'alright, we'll go somewhere else'. As we were starved, we stayed and tried to ignore the poor service throughout our meal. The food was delicious - had the rump steak, burger, ribs, chicken breast; so, plenty of choice. Thanks, chef! The salad bar was tasty too. No thanks to the waiting staff that couldn't wait for us to get out of there.

Menu choice, food quality, price and service were very good.Atmosphere, as it was New Year's eve, was good.Minor quibble; as per previous visit, salmon which is on the menu, was unavailable again. But, fortunately, plenty of alternative choice.

Usually not too bad here but Christmas Day was a big disappointment:-1. Our table wasn't ready at 3pm when we arrived.2. We got seated at 3.10pm and our average starters arrived very quickly and we had finished them before our drinks arrived.3. We had to wait until 4.30pm for our main courses.4. Portions were all over the place, some had hardly any turkey, Brussels sprouts were nearly as mushy as the cabbage and gravy must have been very scarce as even after asking for extra it barely covered a couple of roast potatoes!!!5. Food was luke warm.6. We were right under air condition and one of our party was very cold all the way through.7. After complaining we were told we'd get compensation. Got nothing!!7. We didn't get our coffees at the end we may have left too early but we paid for everything full price and coffee was forgotten about.Won't be back again I'm afraid ?

We dined here this evening 1,12,23. I haven't been out for dinner in a long time it was an absolute treat! The food was amazing, my whole crew finished everything on there plates. Kiddos enjoyed there ice cream and the waitress was so good with the children. I would recommend. It wasn't overly busy such a relaxed environment for a Friday night. I loved the decor. It was so festive and cute. The little tiny seat tucked away next to the fire is adorable. I loved this restaurant.

I've been twice now to Ghillies Lair as they actually have more than 1 vegan option!Food was really good both times, salad bar is always fully stocked. The first time we were charged for ours and someone elses food - just an error as it was very busy but make sure to check your receipt. The staff are all friendly too which is quite a rarity these days!

I was Disappointed, was advised by website they had a children's play area which they don't and we where overcharged on our meals. Drinks where charged over the included price of My children's meals. I was left feeling Disappointed. The food was burnt and lacked flavour. The loudness from other tables was also a distraction for the children. I'd have hoped to have been seated separately from rowdy drinkers.Kid-friendliness: The website indicates small play for children but there is not , false advertisement, we only dined here expecting there to be child play available

Well, 'Tasteless' food ,average ambience and nasty customer service !Our Groupon vouchers were scanned .The 5 and 10 yr kids were served an adult meal which we didn't order or realise , going by the portion size and was obviously a mistake on the part of the server ; later our voucher was refused on that ground. We made the payment and on returning home realised that the vouchers had been subsequently redeemed. On questioning, they had the audacity to say that the vouchers were refused because it was already redeemed.Good customer service is not about always being right. It is the sensibility to owe up when you go wrong and realise that the customer experience is not in the food alone. Our experience at Harvester at London and elsewhere has been good. This one - an absolute disaster!

One of our favourite places for a midweek feast, staff are so attentive especially Jane. She is so friendly upbeat positive and is the reason we regularly come.Dietary restrictions: I can ask for anything and Jane will ensure I get what I have asked for- even keeping meals warm amazing teamParking: Always plenty of parking

The food was deplorable. The chef doesn't know how to cook a chicken breast, as it was raw and crunchy. I tried the place a second time to give the benefit of the doubt, alas I was met with the same culinary incompetence. My partner also had the misfortune of encountering their chefing ineptitude on an occasion his friend had ordered a takeaway, unbeknownst to him, from this sub-rate accident waiting to happen.Kid-friendliness: It's a family kind of place.

Food was great, appeared to be off excellent quality. Had various starters, different main courses and finished of with pudding/deserts. Customer service was great. Would fully recommendParking: Fantastic location, had the opportunity to take a walk with the family around the area after our meal, to walk off some of the food we had eaten, we had eaten too much.
