Another great family lunch at the Marcliffe, never disappoints. Good food and service. Nice to relax before and after lunch in the lounge for coffee and drinks. Staff are attentive, just need to chill the white wine a little more, but I’m being fussy! Will be back.

Visited The Marcliffe for a wedding and stayed overnight. Outstanding experience throughout. Room was spacious, had everything one could need and was spotlessly clean. The food and service at the wedding and then at breakfast the following morning was as good as it gets !

We went to Marcliffe to celebrate ? my daughters Masters graduation. From entering to leaving, everything was spot on.\\nWe didn't stay at the hotel, so we cannot comment on the rooms.\\nOur meal was in the conservatory restaurant. The food was outstanding, as was the service.\\nMy daughter and her partner had the graduation menu, a nice touch; a set price menu, which had plenty of choice and included a glass of champagne ? coffee and chocolates.\\nWe all had cocktails, wine or beer, all beautifully served.\\nI was pleasantly surprised when the bill arrived. For a 5 star establishment, it was far less than I was expecting,\\nA fitting conclusion to a very special day.\\nHighly recommended the next time I'm in Aberdeen I will definitely go again.

The facilities and accommodations are first class, greatly welcomed after a long day of driving. The room was large and comfortable. They have 24 hour room service which hit the spot since we didn’t arrive until late. The staff were professional and engaging, wish we could have stayed longer

The best wedding day from start to finish, attending as a Grandmother of the beautiful bride. Staff were so attentive & friendly. Our room was so spacious, inviting & comfortable, there was a fridge with half pint of milk (so good, hate those little pots) along with a nice selection of teas & coffees. We’d booked our dog too, the hotel provided a doggie towel, water & food bowls, poo bags & a lovely wee bag of treats. Our room had patio doors & as it was a really hot day, so welcome plus a great entrance & exit for our dog sitter. The wedding food & drink was fabulously presented & tasted delicious. All waiting staff were impeccable & so helpful, especially at breakfast which we had to consume at reception or could have had it in our room but we met up with others who chose to dine with us & pooch. The scrambled eggs were absolutely the best I’ve ever had. Highly recommended breakfast by all. The grounds of the hotel are stunningly beautiful too, so well manicured as were the courtyards. Checkout was easy. There is heaps of car parking. And the sun shone all day long ?

Just when you thought last night's fillet steak could not be bettered, tonight's lamb was outstanding. What chef did with the jus, I don't know but it was delightful. And the lamb... hardly any fat but bursting with flavour. Well done... Happy camper here.

My wife and I travelled to Aberdeen because we wanted to experience the area of Aberdeenshire with all the castles and the seabird nature reserve. We booked the Marcliffe without much knowledge of Aberdeen and we got lucky. The hotel was spaceous and clean. There was a large area where they served breakfast, which was very good (buffet + kitchen orders). The service from the staff was excellent, they even heated up some left over Chinese take away for us one night. Our room was very large with our own deck area, it was beside the car park, which was handy but not so picturesque. The hotel was nesstled in a beautiful area of Aberdeen and we realized later how lucky that was for us. Downtown Aberdeen is not a desireable location to stay, matter of fact I would avoid the city all together. The city is very bland, industrial looking and felt a little sketchy. Since the hotel was outside of the city centre it was easy for us to drive out of the city to the differnt sites in Aberdeenshire. I really enjoyed our stay here.

My wife and I stayed at the Marcliff for a wedding. We were greeted upon arrival by lovely reception staff. The room was outstanding, very comfortable and well appointed. Throughout the day and evening were enjoyed exquisite culinary delights. Check out was a breeze. We will definitely return for a longer stay next time.

This is an excellent hotel just outside Aberdeen. It is on about 10 acres or so of land, so it is a very quiet spot. The hotel staff was excellent in all regards. Rooms are well appointed, and larger than most in the UK and Scotland. It is just a short drive into Aberdeen. The restaurant on site is wonderful, both for breakfast and dinner. My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights…. And could not have been happier with our choice. I would highly recommend it when in Aberdeenshire.

Staying at the hotel was very nice, room service was spot on with great food. However, breakfast was where this hotel fell down. The plate was so very hot and the Eggs Benedict over cooked, with the bacon extremely salty. I did comment, but the experience was ruined. 5 star facilities but for breakfast.

A perfect place for any special occasion meal. The best service you can get as you would expect for a 5 star meal. Would highly recommend the Langoustines for Starter and Fillet Steak for Main. Drinks menu is unreal with so much choice for everyone. Can't wait for our next visit soon.

Had afternoon tea for my mum’s birthday and had the best experience! The food was all so lovely and we were very pleasantly surprised with the dairy free alternatives. The staff were amazing!
