The hotel is in a beautiful location on Loch Lomand in gorgeous grounds and with great facilities. The rooms are well appointed and very comfortable. The staff at the restaurant, bar and concierge were all exceptionally friendly and helpful. We had a fabulous dinner with the team going above and beyond to source the best langoustines I have ever tasted as a special advance request. Thanks for a truly exceptional dinner and a very memorable stay.

We had a 5 night stay at the beginning of a 3 week tour of Scotland. One of the best hotels we have stayed in, really fun friendly staff, high hotel standards and worthy of its 5 stars. Leah, Lynn and John in Guest Experiences ensured we had a perfect stay and Andrew and many other of the staff, made light work of our car and luggage. Fantastic whisky selection and super knowledgeable staff. Great golf, and an amazing setting. Can’t wait to return.

Stayed here for one night travelling down from the Highlands. On arrival, my bathroom had a large bottle of cleaning product beside the sink. Later that night when getting ready for bed, I became aware that the bin had not been emptied after the previous guest, the shower was not clean, there was no shower cap and only 1 disposal bag. I raised these issues at reception on check out, and whilst the receptionist wrote them down against my room number, I have had no response from the hotel. I stayed in two five-star hotels in the Highlands with impeccible standards of service, and the room rate for one of these was less than I paid for Cameron House. Reception staff were friendly and efficient as were the staff at breakfast. However, I would not stay here again and would not recommend it.

Location and staff excellent but hotel is over priced and food quality average. No entertainment at night over the weekends. Golf course has an excellent layout with great views but a little soft on the fairways.

Excellent hotel. Nothing at all to fault. Great stay, One of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a great location with views over the Loch. We stayed in one of the suites in Auld House. Not cheap but we felt that we got good value for our money.

The boat house has a good location but unfortunately no friendly welcome and no customer service. Not a good place to have a drink lacks atmosphere. The only entertainment is a TV and the channels seemed for the staff only.

Room was pleasant enough with lovely views of Loch Lomond but found crisps and dirty tissues under our bed. Towels stained. Not what we expected for a five star hotel. Leisure facilities busy as open to non hotel guests.

A great hotel let down by not rectifying a particularly poor situation by the hotel. I had organised things to be put in the room as part of a proposal and when it wasn’t there and reported the response was poor to say the least and was still on my bill at check out...

Cameron Hotel is a fabulous hotel and resort that has all you need. Great food, comfortable rooms and the surroundings are beautiful. Lots to do and all of the hotel staff are very friendly and helpful.

We have a lodge at Cameron House and we go the same week every year. It was extra special this year as the hotel and restaurants were fully open which meant that we did not need to go out of the resort at all and instead we used the restaurants, spa and bars meaning no driving required. They even supply a shuttle car up and down to The Carrick which has the most amazing spa offering fabulous treatments and a second swimming pool to use on spa days. I invested in a whisky cabinet a few years ago as a surprise for my husband in the whisky bar and he loves it. Such an unusual gift but a nice thing to have. We visited the hotel cinema which holds up to 29 people and that was an amazing experience. My son and daughter in law used all of the water facilities as well as the new gym and classes which certainly made it feel like a health spa break but with fabulous restaurants for the evening. I love this hotel and it feels so special from the second you arrive. Thank you to all of the staff and managers and in particular Caroline Johnson who has been extremely helpful arranging things during our stay. We are looking forward to coming back next year but are also considering the Hogmanay celebrations for New Year. Lady Julie Forster White

I have to say I'm very surprised by some of these reviews!! This is without doubt the best place to stay in Scotland. We were here recently with our 2 sons and from the off we were made to feel extremely special and welcome. Firstly I'd like to praise the door and concierge staff. They work tirelessly with smiles on their faces and had time to play with our sons too. Just lovely people. Also the room was spectacular with a lovely view of the Loch and a very dramatic Sea Plane which the boys took great delight when taking off. The secret room for our 3 year old was also a huge success as he loved his own wee private " Cinema ". We ate the first night In the Boathouse and again were treated to a complimentary glass of prosecco for my wife's birthday and all the staff were lovely there too. My only small tips are as follows and sorry to point these out but I'm from a background of hotel management lol.... 1. Breakfast was a bit chaotic. There were a lot of staff loitering and not really understanding their roles. We had to ask on both occasions for coffee and toast. Then had to ask again to remind our server as they hadn't arrived when breakfast was served for 5 minutes. 2. The fried eggs were under the heat lamps too long and the Yolks were rubbery. Also there was eggshell in them in both mornings which put my wife and son off them. 3. The price of the Main Bar at night is crazy. £22 for a class of wine and £17 for a house wine us just mental..... anywhere ! 4. The added Service Charge is a bit naughty as it doesn't go directly to the servers but is added with every bill. Its unfair on the staff and they should be getting a split directly of this. However these minor details wont detract us coming back and hopefully will be addressed to assist this brilliant hotel. Cheers ?

Did not stay here but used the golf course as a visitor. Very enjoyable course, although the rough is unforgiving. Well maintained course and in the summer months with the late evening sun, the reduced price twilight course fees are a bargain. Not busy the day we played (2 ball). Tee time of 17:00 and easily finished with great visibility through out. Fabulous views.

First mistake: I phoned and booked direct rather than through a holiday website. We took a look online upon leaving the hotel and found our room type was about £100 cheaper per night. The bill for my son and I was almost £1, 500 for two nights (including food). Expensive in any city in the world, let alone in Scotland. Oh, and our twin bed room had a lovely view - of a car park! At almost £500 per night and only 2 midweek nights, I expected exceptional quality and service at this price. However: we ate in the Cameron grill both nights because the fine dining was closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. On the first night we ordered filet steaks, medium rare. Both arrived overcooked. We sent back and they replaced them and they were delicious. I thought maybe their main chefs were off on a Monday so gave them the benefit of the doubt. Then, Tuesday we order the same mains. Filets. My sons was fine. However, mine was over cooked again. Dilemma. My son was eating - but I did want a lovely experience, and overcooked steak is not that. So I sent back. However, this time the second filet was also overcooked. I trained at Pru leith cookery school. It’s not that difficult! So I sent back again. The manager offered to upgrade my steak and it was lovely when it finally came. I ate my steak while my son finished his desert. Not ideal. Anyhow, I hate waste and felt really bad for the meat sent back. This was not a complicated dish, but this experience, coupled with the high price and therefore expectation it set left a bitter taste in the mouth. Will think twice before staying again. BTW, the views and the speedboat tour were lovely. The golf was also great.

On a week tour of Scotland last month, my wife and I visited Cameron House Resort and were extremely disappointed in the quality of service offered to their Guests. Will try to list a few of their shortcomings. 1) When I booked a table in their Grill Restaurant for Dinner, I was assured that I would get a confirmation, (either by E-mail or by Text), I am still waiting! 2) Decided to take a short trip on the Loch, (as suggested at Reception), on their so-called "Champagne Cruises at £55.00pp", where not only the Champagne, (one glass), was served almost warm but also, was well passed the sell-by-date! 3) Had a drink in the Lobby Bar, (One 125ml Glass of Ruinart Champagne Rose' and one 175ml Glass of Chablis 1er Cru), and was charged £45.10 for the privilege - No Nibbles! Also, where a slovenly and opinionated Bar-Supervisor, thinks he is superior to his Customers and has the knack, (very good try!), to make them feel inferior! 4) Dinner in the Grill - Although, overall the Food was good and the Staff were pleasant, the Service was amateurish and I was very disappointed in the size of a Crab Bisque, (Excellent in quality but Miniscule in quantity). Finally, after a few E-mails and a long conversation with the Resort's GM, (where eventually, I was offered a 50% refund of my total Bill), I was left feeling that the Hotel does only care about the "Big Spenders" and Customers that only spend £336.20, don't really matter! Would I return? Definitively NOT. Although I am retired now, I did work very hard for my money!

Wonderful stay! We arrived after an overnight flight and 4 hour drive from Manchester. Upon arrival we discovered we had a flat tire The staff was absolutely incredible and put the spare on for on for us. We were so tired and appreciated it so much! We enjoyed a beautiful boat ride on Loch Lomond with champagne in the evening. The Leisure Spa is fantastic. Pool and hot tub were nice. Breakfast was wonderful and lunch and dinner at the Boat House were great. The hotel itself is beautiful. The staff really sets this place apart from most high end hotels.
