I travel from the west end of Glasgow to visit this lovely cafe. A roll and bacon with egg and tea for less than a coffee in the west end. Easily the nicest and freshest roll I've had and almost too much bacon to finish.A proper local old school unpretentious cafe with lovely staff.Next time you're taking a trip out of town give it a visit. You won't be disappointed.

This cafe has the most beautiful appearance with flowers to welcome you with even the shutters done like a mural stunning. Inside is from a bygone age as it was opened nearly 100 year ago. The staff are friendly and the food is good at very reasonable prices. Definitely it is a wee gem.

Food was amazing but found the place was cold it could really do with the heating on esp on a cold miserable day. I had the chilli beef enchilada my mum had a baked potato with chilli with cheese and my Niece had the chicken coujons and all our plates were cleared. Highly recommend ?

Spur of the moment decision to come into the Lounge on Mother’s Day at approx 4pm. Didn’t really expect to get a table as we hadn’t booked but the waitress was happy to accommodate us and made us feel welcome from the get go. We were seated in a booth and the young waiter who brought our drinks over took our order kindly brought crayons and paper for the wee man without us asking for it. It was obviously quite busy and a singer was playing. Good relaxed family vibe. I had the steak pie and my mum had the chicken and leek pie. Exceeded our expectations. The kids menu was varied enough. He had pasta which he ate and licked the plate. We both had the hot chocolate fudge cake and the weeman had ice cream. All round very pleased and will definitely go back.Kid-friendliness: Varied kids menu, my son was offered paper and crayons
