Really friendly pub. Food was excellent. All completely home cooked, large portions, really tasty and great quality. We are both vegetarian and always have limited options eating out but both the Stilton and roast vegetable pie and the Moroccan halloumi flatbread were gorgeous. Homemade chips and lovely fresh veg/ salad. The cheesecake was enormous and so tasty. Free pool table, juke box. Really good value.

Fantastic pub, fantastic food. You want to shout about it to all, but also selfishly keep it quiet and to yourself. Any of the food at any time of the day is lovely. Friendly staff.

Food and service very good Owners very friendly and food home cooked and delicious We were here on a Thursday evening and every table was full and pre booked so booking is recommended It’s fairly remote and usually full of locals but is an interesting option if staying in the area I’ve never seen Cranachan on any menu before even in Scotland and that was a really nice touch

Impeccable Sunday roast !!! Rib of beef cooked to perfection, heavily seasoned with a good amount of fat. Crisp potatoes, al dente root veg all tied up with a rich proper beef gravy. Fair play to whoever is manning the pans in the kitchen. Worth a venture out for sure, and was super cheap regardless of the quality being served. ?

A friendly family run pub with fantastic food. Clearly popular and deservedly so. We had the Sunday roast. Plenty of beef that was tender and delicious, couldn't fault the vegetables or the quantity.
