Cozy little pub. very cheap to the area. The surrounding were beautiful. It's like stepping back in time with an exposed fire place. The lady is very nice . Right now it's clean and tidy and has a great selection of drinks.

Maureen is very hospital, don't stand in front of the fire. You will get to know other people.

Maureen is an Anstruther institution. Vital no thrills service to the community, Maureen was friendly, witty & sharp ! The fire was always well tended & drinks reasonable priced! Thank you for making us feel so welcome , we had a lovely afternoon ! Michael & Siobhan

Very nice lady to start with took us 13 hours to deep clean the pub for her as it has been shut for 3 years it was very bad. She was happy enough when explained about price at hourly rate then she paid by cheque unknown to myself my business account doesn't expect cheque's so had to go back and ask to put it into my own name which then she refused to pay the full amount that she put on the first cheque then turned around and said she was only paying half told us all we did was go about with a hoover the place was so disgusting she was very rude and nasty. Avoid this place at all costs

What a fantastic wee pub. Maureen the owner is a real character, warm and friendly, superb range of drinks, big open fire and happy chatty locals. Looked through the window and knew I had to go in, and so glad i did. Really enjoyed the hour I spent there. Too few pubs like this these days. No matter where you're from, if in anstruther, call in for a pint.

Sad to see this pub go so far down hill

What a wonderful character Maureen is in the Masonic Arms. A wonderfully varied choice of beers and spirits on offer in front of an open fire. Locals were friendly too ?

On entering bar. Carpets covered in dog hair and dirty. Pint of tenants flat and glasses unclean. Seats dirty and the pub smelled horrible. Bar woman off putting and just not interested.

Cosy wee pub. Real fire next to the bar. Bit of a time lapse going through the door, but that's no bad thing. Wee bit spoiled by a brief visit from some rowdy folks on a Christmas night out.Friendly barmaid, too.

Popped in to heat ourselves and our dog after walking along the beach to be told we were not allowed near the fire! Very strange indeed.
