Drove three and a half hours to get to The Wee Chippy (and more on the way bac) Worth every minute. Best fish and chips I've ever had (and that includes more famous cafes in North Yorkshire) Like Arnie says, I'll be back.

Definitely better than "the over hyped other chippy". We visit Anstruther three or four times a year and always make this our first stop when arriving up from England. The best chippy by far. Great food and service. Can't wait to come back.

Unfortunately we had a really bad experience with the food here. We had a smoked fish supper and a steak pie supper. Smoked fish was very nice, chips were pale and soggy and tasted of old fish (particularly bad as one of our party don't eat fish) . The steak pie tasted of nothing and was literally dripping in oil (you could squeeze it out of the pastry). The girls serving were very friendly.

I tried The Wee Chippy tonight and I was extremely impressed with everything! The menu is large and has plenty to chose from, aswell as an alternative gluten free menu. All the staff are polite, informed and well kept. The shop itself was very tidy considering how busy it was! Everything is cooked fresh when you order, so we did have to wait a few minutes, however it is well worth the wait! I had a battered haddock supper and my partner had a fresh battered chicken goujon supper. 10/10 I can see why they are winning all these awards!Vegetarian options: There is many things on the menu suitable for a vegetarian, such as home made macaroni, onion rings, battered pizza, Hallumi etcDietary restrictions: There is plenty of options such as gluten free, cooked in a separate area to eliminate cross contaminationParking: There is a free car park that is a 2 minute walk away. There is also plenty parking down the side streets.Wheelchair accessibility: There is a side enterance to the cafe area suitable for wheelchairs, the cafe area is very spacious and there is a large disabled toilet.

Loved It!!I came tonight on a recommendation.I have struggled to find a chip shop near us that offers a gluten free night, far less a gluten free menu every day.Our food was cooked in a separate area from the normal battered food and served in boxes marked separately and bagged up on their own.We ordered a fish and a sausage but when we were waiting, the girl frying pointed out they were trialling gf white and black pudding. We ordered a single of each.I would give them 100% for the food we received and the same for service. We couldn't fault it.Thank you for helping others with their struggles to eat out.

It's a must visit if you are in the area. Eat in or take away and enjoy the sun setting over the harbour. You won't be disappointed.

Best fish and chips in the area. Better than the Anstruther Fish Bar along the street. Everything is cooked to order, so you may have to wait a little bit, but well worth the wait.

Great-tasting fresh fish and chips. Nice, light batter on fish. Unnecessarily generous portions. Alternative, gluten-free menu.

The best chippy I've ever had! Everything was perfect. The smoked fish supper was glorious. The bread was so fresh and made the perfect chip buttie. The white pudding was spectacular. Their restaurant has been done up since I was last there and it's so cozy and welcoming. 5 star service also.If you're in Anstruther, go to The Wee Chippy, the best in town!

Absolutely loved our dinner tonight.First time we've eat in the restaurant and won't be the last. The price is more expensive than the takeaway however you get a hot drink and bread and butter in the price. We both had fish, 1 battered, 1 breaded - both were so tasty and the chips were cooked to perfection. The lad that was serving us was so efficient and very polite, he's a great asset.Well Done Wee Chippy, you can see why you've won so many awards this year.Dietary restrictions: I saw a full Gluten Free menu available every dayParking: On the street or car park just along the roadWheelchair accessibility: There was a separate entrance and a large assessable toilet. There is also plenty of space to move around in the restaurant

Unbelievably good. Cooked to perfection. Gluten-free for my wife as requested. Now living in Canada, we miss fish and chips. The Wee Chippy is reason enough to book our next trip back to my homeland. Simply amazingDietary restrictions: Gluten free batter and bread.

We had a table booked for 6pm but we were early and it was no problem as we were given our table straight away! Lovely menu, we were waited on by two lovely, very friendly young girls! Nothing was a bother! Food all freshly cooked and very well presented! The batter on the fish was amazing!! We will definitely visit again whenever we are back in the area!Parking: There is a car park not far but you have to pay up to 6pm, you can park on the road but it is usually very busy so it's just your luck if you get a space! Safer in the car park anyway!
