Lovely place, food and drinks were spectacular. Made a last minute decision to go and the waiter made it happen by quickly organising a table and our meals even though it was later in the day. Place was kept clean and fresh. definitely recommend for anyone with a hungry belly as it definitely does the trick.

A difficult review to write as Imrie's was shut on the night we visited. However, we ate in the bar of the main hotel and it was convivial, substantial and tasty (and not expensive). The staff (Aiden basically) were friendly and efficient All in all, a pleasant experience. Room was comfortable and dog friendly. Can certainly recommend for an overnight stay.

We stayed for 3 nights to attend a friend's wedding. Arrived Friday eve and left Mon am. The wedding was really lovely and the staff were amazing. We had breakfast on 3 mornings. Very nice. Vegetarian option very good. We also had supper there on Sunday evening. Very nice again but menu for Vegetarian was limited to 1 item. Think the menu changes for winter. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Only downside I found was in trying to contact the hotel. They need to work on the communication between staff and potential customers by telephone ( only ph between 3pm and 7pm ) and email. When you want to speak to a actual person you got no chance. That being said we had a great time and would certainly recommend the food and the venue. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Special thanks to Aiden and Elaine.

First night was so disappointing as they had run out of most things. Difficult when you are gluten free! Second night the food was amazing Was expecting a nice romantic meal in the dining room as we were staying for 2 nights but instead it was moat definitely for families with kids running around. Thankfully the location made up for it and the beach was amazing. Breakfast on day 2 was horrendous. Waited for a while and then had to shout into the kitchen area and then girl arrived . What food they hadn't run out of was semi hot and the scrambled eggs were dried up. This so let the place down ! Uniform was far too relaxed , smarten your staff up please!

This was a stop over on our bike trip. Lovely location, nice to wander along the beach or swim! We had a good meal at the restaurant. Comfortable and friendly, we were refreshed after our stay.

What a hidden gem. Near the beach, it looks like nothing from the outside. But inside the converted gym hall is a funky, spacious welcoming bar serving great food and drink. Not only is it dog friendly but there is menu for dogs. Good music, some bar games like darts and pool and an outside seating area. Loved it.

The staff were conspicuous by their absence during the service of the pre meal drinks in the herb garden. The family had to pitch in and open the wine and serve the rest of the guests while waiting for the newly Weds. The meal was a buffet of burgers and salad. The salad arrived after most of the guests had helped themselves. The cake was cut and the family again had to go around the room serving their guests.Perhaps the supervisor could have taken charge to pull the reception together and put less strain on the immediate family

Quirky setting, quite rustic. Food was very tasty, comfort food, generous portions- I had a lovely beer battered haddock- up there with the best. It was quite quiet when we went, time of year and early meal . It represented good value, lovely guy on bar and hotel. It was very dog friendly which I liked about the bar and hotel. The bar/restaurant is big enough to cater for dogs. I’d happily eat here again. Recommend for a lovely casual meal out.

Fabulous area to be in. Hotel family room was fine. Double bed was so comfy, single beds were springy! Evening meal in bar was 5* Breakfast on first morning was poor, no-one attending, had to ask for drinking water and for kettle, as well as fresh fruit, yogurts and croissants, that were offered on menu, but not available. (Pretty poor)! Second morning we had a lady server to help with guest enquiries. We found that the bain marine to keep the food warm was turned off and the food was cold. The lady asked if we wanted the food microwaved rather than offering to cook more food! This we found to be unacceptable, however all other foods were available, unlike the prior morning. We waited for some food to be replaced. As for being dog friendly and having paid for a doggy breakfasts, this was not offered on either morning. All in all an ok place to stay, but could be far better.

Fantastic room, lovely location. Had an absolutely lovely night. Went for dinner in the restaurant which was also nice home cooked pub food.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The Staff were friendly and helped us with all our needs. We also appreciated how friendly it was to Pets. The grounds and the rooms were beautiful. The food was outstanding both dinner and breakfast - and our dog was welcome at both.

The staff were very pleasant and accommodating. We were staying at the hotel so the bar and food were an asset.
