Stopped here tonight with my friends after a day of climbing a Munro. We were met with great friendly staff who were so helpful and amazing customer service. We enjoyed our fish and sausage suppers! Quick service! Hopefully be able to stop by here again! ?

Lushest welcome ever received from lovely, warm & friendly staff. Not just a chip shop, but an experience! Vegan and veggie suitable options too, which is tricky to find. As other reviewers have complained, yeah looks more like pizza shop chips, but so what?! Visiting here was a great boost, with free travel tips and the world's finest customer sevice. Super canny people, like Anne, being kind and thoughtful make all the difference. Could do with more places like this!

Whilst staying in Tarbet for the weekend, we fancies a chippy. Found this online and drive to it. Both opted for fish and chips, was disappointed what we got what we paid. The chips and not what you would expect for a chip shop, they were not chippy chips, the fish was on but nothing special, we paid around £20 which i don’t think was worth it. The fish was bland and the chips were not much better. They also say online they take card but they don’t, so don’t be caught out like us having to drive around for a cash machine. Wouldn’t recommend and wouldn’t buy from again.

Not just the worst fish and chips I’ve ever had, but probably the worst meal. Soggy batter, chips that tasted like they’d been fried in detergent. Truly disgusting.

Very friendly service, fast and cracking fish. Could have spent hours just chatting to a fellow veterans mother. Thanks

My partner had fish and chips. I had back pudding and chips. Both were great. We'll be back.

I was going to give 3 stars before coming to the conclusion that frozen oven chips served at a chippy is a cardinal sin, for which there is no excuse. Portions tiny. Fish was nice but the batter soggy. The owner at the till was very nice but then a young European girl came in, queued for a fair while only to request a bottle of coke, the owner told her minimum spend on card was £5. The girl looked distraught and reluctantly upped her order so it was over 5 pounds. I hope the owner reads this as claiming there is a minimum spend for cards is COMPLETELY ILLEGAL I'd imagine they made it illegal for examples like you did to that poor tourist who was desperate for a drink and then reluctantly had to spend over a fiver to be served.

£3.00 for a portion of frozen chips out a bag to be cooked in old smelly oil. Later on that night had cramps and ended up being very sick that was very oily!

A lovely place with super friendly staff!\\nMe and my boyfriend went there after a long day climbing Ben Nevis, we called up beforehand to see whether they were open, they would have closed before we got there but stayed open for us.\\nWhen we got there, there were still plenty of customers which is always a good sign. We ordered so much food and it all tasted delicious. If we are ever up that way in Scotland again, we will definitely visit.

Horrible. Rip off. £25 for 2 fish suppers, a sausage & 2 cokes.chips inedible, dry leathered hard tiny scraps with about 6 actual chips and warm coke. Just ripping off tourists. That's equivalent to over $50 in Australia which is a lot of money for a couple of fish suppers.Threw in the bin as inedible. Must have over a hundred 1 star reviews, think they are trying to break a record.

Fish portion was terrible with bones in it and half cooked batter, they serve frozen chips and they forgot about our order and left it sitting out in the kitchen until I queried how long it was taking.

I would not recommend eating from this chip shop, the chips were overcooked (reheats) and the fish was unedible would not visit here again
