A really brilliant experience and beautiful restaurant located within Gleneagles. We were excited to get a phone call telling us that a table reservation had become available as the place was booked out for months when we booked to stay overnight. Service was excellent throughout the night, we opted for the seven course tasting menu which was incredible. We were there for almost 4 hours in total. The food was beautiful and tasted incredible, a really excellent choice for a special occasion.

This place has a star for a reason from the moment we arrived we were treated to some of the best culinary delights Scotland has to offer. We went for the tasting menu and wine flight, every course was impeccable with the perfect wine pairing, the star of the show would have to have been the lobster perfection!

We used to be great fans of Andrew Farlie but this was one of the laziest meals we have had in a long time. Serving a tiny little turnip as an amuse Bouche is extremely lazy. There was nothing about any of these dishes that we had in the tasting menu that we could not have produced at home. The crab portions were pathetic. We told staff before hand that one of us did not eat cheese and when a cheese course was produced nothing was provided for a none cheese eater so I was expected to eat my course alone. When we complained something was produced but by this point the feeling was lost and we decided to call it a night. The staff were kind but the food was boring and we felt very taken advantage of. When we spoke to the manager he did waive the cost of the meal but that wasn’t actually the point. This was for us a very special evening - our anniversary, which we wanted to be special. What we really felt was that we as customers were being taken advantage of. Left an overall jaded feeling. Gone are the days of imaginative food but not the days of imaginative billing. Not a good reflection on Gleneagles.

Beautifully decorated restaurant with lovely ambiance. The food is exceptional as you’d expect and the staff are all absolutely incredible at what they do. We had the tasting menu which is an excellent way of trying many different dishes on the menu. I would not normally eat Lobster, but everything about this dish in particular is fantastic. I was slightly disappointed in the dessert, but this is because I’m a chocolate or sponge fan. The only downside to this restaurant is that some of the other guests are stuffy/pretentious which is unfortunately expected I suppose for a restaurant of this calibre. I cannot fault anything of the staff of food, it’s incredible.

This is the first time we have eaten and Andrew Fairlie at Gleneagles and it was just superb in every respect. We had the Degustation menu with the £95 wine flight. The high spots on the menu were the Steak Tartare, Halibut and Smoked Lobster. The wines were perfectly matched to each course and the wine selections were quite diverse with even a Georgian wine in there. The service was also excellent. It is of course expensive but we were in there 4 hours and at no point did we ever feel we were waiting for the next course. When you consider the effort made at the restaurant to get every single detail right then the price can be understood.

Some of the best food Scotland has to offer, served by some of the nicest people. Consistently goodVegetarian options: Extensive and interesting vegetarian options available and most dietary requirements catered forDietary restrictions: They are very careful and understanding about allergies and dislikes. Notes are made for future visits and dishes adapted accordingly.Parking: Two large carparks within a minutes walk of the main entrance.Wheelchair accessibility: Ramps are made available discretely to enter and exit the restaurant. The tables have plenty of room to accommodate a wheelchair

After moving to England we returned to Scotland to retire Andrew Fairley’s at Gleneagles represents the finest in dining in Scotland The degustation with wine is about £250 - seven courses with 5 petit bouche to tantalise the palate. The lamb shoulder as main was outstanding and the lobster cooked over whiskey wood excellent. The wines complemented the courses. The service like the food is five star. The best

The absolutely best dining experience in the whole of Scotland, well worth the trip to Gleneagles alone. The wine pairing was incredible, and the food simply unforgettable, with honest and genuine dishes that will absolutely blow you away.Unreal value for money, if you have the opportunity you should absolutely give it a go.

For sure the best food during our Scotland tour. A very accomplished menu and excellent and knowledgeable staff. Not so suitable for a romantic evening, too many large tables for 7 to 8 people where it gets loud and you feel disturbed in your own conversation.

One reason to come to gleaneagles is this outstanding restaurant. For us one of the best in the world. But not only the food is amazing, also the waiters are exceptional good. Hope to be there soon again.

40th wedding anniversary dinner - the highlight of a week touring Scotland. From start to finish this was a wondrous experience ( and we are experienced fine diners). Outstanding staff who worked as a team to manage every issue that arose. No difficulty in swapping out a tasting menu dish for a stunning replacement - including a replacement in the wine pairing. Service was sublime and not fussy. Food was exceptional with highlights being the smoked lobster, the halibut and the steak tartare. Wine pairing was excellent with a mix of familiar and unfamiliar names but all matched well with the individual courses. It cost a small fortune but worth it for a very special occasion!

We had the 7 course degustation menu and it was amazing, loved all of it and all the little tasty bites in between . As it was my husband's special birthday they even did him a yummy chocolate balloon.
