Enjoyed an absolutely wonderful evening in the Strathearn Restaurant to celebrate my husband's birthday. Stunning surroundings and ambience, first class service and staff - particular thanks to the head waiter Jason! We were made to feel so welcome and so special - a truly great experience with exemplary food and wine from start to finish. Well done Gleneagles - a thoroughly magical experience and we cannot wait to come back.

Lovely experience all round. Venison was excellent. Portion sizes were great, with the addition of sides resulting in a very filling meal. Staff were attentive and food was timely. Would return.

While staying in the hotel we booked the restaurant. Fresh breads, scallop & veloute starters, tender fillet steaks with fantastic accompaniments. The desserts were divine and their first class staff ensured an exceptional dining experience.

We have had over the years visited this highly respected restaurant on numerous occasions, but honestly feel that our visit last week was was the best. The whole experience was simply perfect. The decor, ambiance and comfort of the restaurant provided the setting for truly professional service by the front of house team who willingly and enthusiastically delivered well thought out and executed dishes. In our opinion the adjusted service style with the removal of the gueridon provided a more focussed dining experience. Thanks for a lovely evening.

First night had to ask for crackers for my cheese platter , also unfortunately my husbands dessert spoon handle was dirty , a few wee Hiccups but quickly resolved , these things happen and didn't spoil our dinner at all ,

The service, food and selection were amazing. Expensive but worth every penny. Highly recommend the smoked salmon and steak. The kids menu was also very nice. Can’t wait to come back.

We were in the orangery and it was really relaxed which was great. Staff most attentive and helpful. Good variety menu for breakfast all table service. Special mention to Callum a young chap who looked after us particularly well and we overhead he has only been at Gleneagles since the Summer which is amazing.

What a great evening, menu not terribly extensive but enough to please most I would imagine, . Friends recommended smoked salmon to start which was gorgeous and I followed with the lamb which was sliced table side. Others in the group had steak, venison, fish, all were beautiful…. The service was spot on, wine fabulous, and we enjoyed a tour of the kitchen at the end of the meal which was great . Obviously not a cheap evening, but we don’t mind spending when it’s worth it for the quality of food and service.

For a special event you couldn’t find somewhere better. It is pricey so not for the faint hearted, but the level of service you get is beyond expectations. From the moment you walk into the hotel, and then into the bar you know this will be an experience. The menu was comprehensive with something for everyone (party of six) with the wine list being exceptionally large. I had the scallops which were melt in your mouth with the halibut and then the cheese board with a very good tawny port. Others had the venison loin which was excellent. For an experience and celebration this is so worth the expense but you need to go in knowing it’s going to be costly and order like you have a money tree. I’m sure some reading have a money tree so eat in places like this all the time, so I am jealous. However, I can now say that I have too and loved every mouthful

We had originally booked into the Andrew Fairlie but sadly this was cancelled due to a member of staff testing positive for C19. The hotel graciously rearranged our booking for the Strathearn.\\n\\nHaving seem the other reviews on Google I was pretty apprehensive. This was quickly put to bed: the staff were charming and very attentive. The food was even better, my tip is to make sure you eat anything this restaurant serves with venison, it is quite divine.\\n\\nPrices are steep but we thought the quality of the food, surrounds and service justified it. The restaurant has struggled with getting enough staff in over the last few months of C19 reasons, it seems they are now back to their best!

We had a booking for 23rd June. It was cancelled on the day. We explained it was a special occasion, they reinstated the booking during the day, by which time we had booked elsewhere. We had no signal so messaged at 5pm to say the 6.30 booking was not needed. At 7pm we were messaged to see why we were not coming. If you want a fine dining experience may I suggest you go elsewhere. This was not the experience we had been looking forward to for several months.
