Myself and my husband visited the tea room for an afternoon tea experience on Friday. I must say it was one of the nicest days out recently and was absolutely fabulous from the moment we walked in. I guess the festive vibe in the air added to this wonderful experience. The atmosphere was very relaxing and welcoming, and the waiting staff were extremely polite and helpful. The savoury and sweet treats were exceptional , particularly the buttermilk scones. They were out of this world.I loved the in between palette cleanser rooibos ice tea too, very flavoursome and refreshing. There were a good selection of teas to choose from to accompany the experience. I tried Glendevon and Black cinnamon. Perhaps I would have preferred a bit more richer brew both times but I guess that is a personal preference rather than a shortcoming.I loved the presentation of all and enjoyed the beautiful silverware ( albeit the heavy weight took me by surprise;-))Overall it was a lovely experience, definitely worth a try, you will not be disappointed. We most definitely will visit again.

Great tea room to indulge yourself with a luxury Afternoon Tea in the Glendevon, experience the best afternoon tea in Scotland. Enjoy cakes and savoury dishes with views over Scottish lawns as finely cut as the sandwiches. If you are looking for the finest afternoon tea look no further.

The location is good for our purposes, but struggle to park there at times. Have stayed here 4 or 5 times, and this was not our best visit this time, I’m afraid to say. We waited a good 15 minutes to check in as serving drinks to diners was a priority. we had to ask again to check-in, as we were attending a birthday party and had to go then. There was a major issue with our shower in room 8, meaning we could not use it, as the control was broken, and we could only get scalding water. When we told a female staff member when we were checking out she seemed rather unconcerned, stating the Manager was not there. We were stating that we hadn’t been able to have showers, and she was more interested in getting the key back. Slight issue with breakfast order, but this was corrected. The hotel is becoming quite run down – lots of dust in room and on staircase. Think we shall be looking at airB&Bs now.

Comfortable room, good quality en-suite shower. Good wardrobe space. Tv, tea, and biscuits. Above a restaurant and bar. "Reception" is at the bar. The constant door banging and noise from other rooms was a problem. What a shame. Ideal location for the high street. The "One Hour" time slot for breakfast is another issue. 07.30 week days, 08.30 weekends.

We didn’t have a booking but Restaurant was quiet. We were seated by a young waitress and then promptly ignored. Staff looked very inexperienced. Not sure if we caught them on a bad night but we walked out and had a great meal in Henderson’s Bristo across the road. Shame, as we were looking forward to trying the food.

The food at the Glendevon Hotel was fantastic. I was a little nervous about ordering an "Authentic Indian" but that is exactly what I got. The Lamb Rogan Josh I ordered was lovely, the lamb tender and melt in the mouth. My Wife ordered the Burger which was also great, a double pate cooked to perfection. The other member of our party also ordered an Indian dish which she said she really enjoyed. A special mention to the starters we ordered. The Haggis neaps and tatties starter from the Indian menu was absolutely gorgeous. My wife ordered the Haggis croquettes, which could possibly be presented in a different way but tasted fantastic. If I am ever in the area again I will definitely be back. Three very happy customers from Wales.

This has been a regular meal stop in the past, not any more. Service poor, portions cut and price increased. Very ordinary food, 7 pieces of Scampi for a MAIN course no attendance to see if any food or drinks required and had to go to bar to pay yet there were few customers, only another couple when we left.

Went in for meal last Sunday night very quiet at the time possibly abiut 6pm. I ordered fish and chips my wife had sunday roast. The fush was probably the smallest i have ever had and chips were borderline cold. The sunday roast was very bland served with rock hard maybe microwaved cauliflower in tasteless cheese sauce look like the young team behind the bar/ kitchen were having fun though. Not a good meal but might just have been unlucky

Well what can I say? For £100 a night, including a full cooked breakfast, there isn’t much to complain about. We stayed for 2 nights, arriving on the Friday night there was a party until very late. We weren’t told about this prior, only on arrival. We didn’t get back to the hotel ourselves until after 11, so only had to struggle few an hour+ of horrific party tunes which were so loud, the DJ could have been in our en suite. Otherwise, staff very pleasant, on arrival and during the stay. Hot breakfasts were ok. I wanted the smoked salmon option but salmon wasn’t available…despite a coop being less than 2min down the road. But the colder options like cereal, muffins and juices etc were very generous. Parking was easy, options at the back of the hotel and also free at the Main Street. Would stay again!

Stayed at the Glendevon while attending a wedding nearby. . The room had a king size comfy bed with an ensuite., It had all the facilities that we required .and was reasonably priced. The bar had a good selection of beers , wines and the breakfast was excellent. The staff were very attentive and helpful.
