Amongst the most delicious food we have ever eaten. Such a serenely beautiful place and the staff were so lovely. I cannot rate it highly enough

An amazing lunch stop on the drive from Aberlour to Culloden Battlefield. First, the house estate and gardens are beautiful. Second the food was phenomenal. The focaccia was warm, slightly salty and pillowy soft with a lovely olive oil on the side. The leek and morbier cheese starter was creative beautiful and delicious, loved the leek capers. The scallop crudo was fresh and delicate and would have benefited from shaved radish rather than cubed but otherwise yummy. The rump steak and fries cooked to the right temperature. The halibut & bonne femme was sublime. The absolute deal of the day was the Sunday Roast with cauliflower au gratin, roasted vegetables to perfection, roasted potatoes and the gravy with a popover. The desserts where light especially delightful the chocolate mousse and roasted fig. We understand that the menu changes very often. The drinks and curated wine list was small but beautiful paired to the meal. This lunch was a true treat worthy of any immerging foodie scene, a joy in the Highlands. Awesome discovery!!!

We went to The Garden Cafe at Boath House. We had fabulous food and the service was great. Fresh pizzas from the wood oven and the rump steak from the specials menu and couldn't fault anything. Very welcoming and friendly staff, nothing was a problem, and great music. Totally recommend a visit if you haven't been.

Outstanding quality of food and amazing atmosphere. Always fresh and local ingredients with extra finishing touches of home grown produce from the restaurant's garden. Unforgettable experience visit after visit. We're very lucky to have such place in the area!

Absolutely incredible and simply perfect. We have just returned, happy and full from my wonderful birthday dinner. The staff could not have been more attentive and friendly, they created such a lovely atmosphere. The pricing was a pleasant surprise, I expected many of the dishes to be at least double their price. When you consider the quality, produce and perfect execution Boath Garden Cafe is incredibly reasonably priced. The picturesque setting matched with the high standard of food and service means we will look forward to returning, even if that does incur a several hour journey from St. Andrews- it would be well worth the trip!Thank you for making my birthday such a treat, we look forward to joining you again!

Such waste of an opportunity as a restaurant. Gorgeous garden surroundings and pleasant front of house staff but disastrously slow service and then very disappointing portions, grossly overpriced, - sorry to have to say . . .

Relaxed restaurant bordering a lovely walled garden with tables inside and out.The food is brilliant at times. A nouvelle cuisine portioned mackerel was delightfully fresh and tasty. Fillet steak with potato and carrots was a glorious piece of meat perfectly rare in a great sauce with rainbow carrots (nearly lost a star for the odd presentation of potato - I’ve heard of pomme purée but this was more a pot of cream with a hint of potato flavour - I needed to ask for a spoon to serve it). Dessert of chocolate, coffee and hazelnut would not be out of place in a 2/3 Michelin star joint. The menu worked well with our diverse group offering haute cuisine options alongside standards like margherita pizza and steak with fries (also the best piece of meat he ate in Scotland according to my son). Sides like cauliflower cheese also excellent.Service was friendly but inexperienced at times. The senior waiter opened the bottle of wine before showing it - a much inferior vintage to the one listed on the label (although he didn’t seemed perturbed when I rejected it as he said he could sell it by the glass). Happily I traded up to what turned out to be an excellent bottle of 2015 Fronsac. When one of our party mistakenly asked if the purple carrots were burnt a more junior waitress insisted they were mushrooms! But overall the excellent cooking and location win through.

Outstanding food and ambience in a lovely walled garden. We chose to eat outdoors (it was 19c) but under the tin roof (it did rain - it’s Scotland after all!). The inside of the restaurant was very busy but looked nice. It’s got quite a trendy boho vibe. The food was fresh, seasonal with plants from the garden and delicately seasoned. The only downside was how popular and how busy it was which meant the kitchen struggled to keep up. The waiting staff were great though when we told them we really wanted dessert before our booked taxi. We’ll be back again.

One of the best restaurants we have tried in scotland, for sure! Super recommended. In my opinion, 1 * michelin

Birthday celebration for dinner . Good pizza and focaccia . Deserts ok.choux not very light. No warm pudding options for a cold summer evening. .Burnt roast potatoes.Burnt and dry Yorkies . Replacements which arrived much later also burnt! No gravy available for roast beef dinner ! Cabbage ok . Cauliflower cheese dry . Replacement slightly more warm and moist . Carrots tasteless. . Beef fine but needed gravy . Had to ask for mustard and horseradish which was provided with no spoons. Pleasant waitresses but service a bit wobbly as our party of 7 were situated in an sparse annex in a separate building to the main restaurant .Lovely gardens and grounds. Unlikely to return .

First time back for a long time, absolutely superb, quality food, rich and delicious, great service from very attentive staff. One of the best meals local to us in Nairn. Will definitely be back very soon.

Lovely setting, friendly helpful service, tiny portions & totally overpriced

We went for lunch with extended family. Sat outside in the lovely setting and were served by very helpful friendly staff. Whilst the food was beautifully presented, it was very simple, minuscule portions & ultimately totally overpriced.

Service on day was confused and pre order didn’t work. Meat dishes were apparently good. Vegan dishes not so much. Tasted like tomato concentrate with too much salt in main and too much sugar in dessert, this for £40. I offered feedback and no one replied so for these reason I wouldn’t go again, it would seem they are not interested.
