We are in the bread club and what a joy it is. I used to make bread and cakes but have become disabled so can't stand up to do so anymore, I had thought beautiful bread was a thing of the past. Tonight I have had the best sandwich ever, roast chicken and mayonnaise in cranberry, nut and honey bread, accompanied by a nice glass of Chardonnay what could be better? Thank you very much.

Popped into KJs for a lunchtime snack during a holiday drive. Both the pork and beef sausage rolls were super tasty (veggie options too)l! The sandwiches, soup and cakes also looked ace. If we were staying locally would be no.1 choice for bread and for hill walking packed lunch!

Snug In Grantown

If you walk down through the woods from the Snug, over the river and a wee bit further, you will find KJ's Bothy Bakery (you can always drive as well, loads of parking) - run by the amazing Kirsten, previously of the Mountain Cafe Aviemore. With the pandemic she had to up sticks and rethink how to do business and Grantown has definitely gained from this.\\n\\nIf the weather is good, sit outside on the grass or at one of the tables, or just takeaway fresh coffee and delicious sweet or savoury bakes - you will NOT be disappointed!

Awesome bakery with a range of breads, cakes, sandwiches, coffees and a few other assorted gifts. Worth a visit if anywhere in the Grantown area....or even from further away!

Cafe gets very busy but well worth the wait. High quality coffee and cakes but the breakfast is particularly delicious.

A very popular place but with good food and excellent coffee. Then cakes are lovely. Staff are very helpful and friendly.

a good breakfast , not worth the wait though and scenery does make up for wait, just.. steps inside can be narrow for a family with small children or capabilitie issues but overall , no compliments.

Popped in after go-karts, slight wait for a table but that didn’t bother us. Cakes were magnificent and a very good choice including vegan. Staff were also decent and extremely helpful.

About the best coffee and scone that we have had anywhere. Other half knows his scones. Cakes were also great.

Stopped here for lunch with two colleagues during the week. Two of us had food while the other just had a coffee. Our food was great and I would highly recommend the sweet potato soup and homemade bread.

Nice to have a place for a break after a walk up the mountain. I'd recommend the apple and cinnamon scones - with a litlle jar of blackvberry jam to boot. Nice comfortable arm chair, open fire...........aaaaah!
