Cafes in Ayr

“I spent 3 days in Ayr visiting a friend and she raved about this restaurant so we finally got around to going there on my last evening before moving on as they'd been closed for a couple of days and then were fully booked when we first tried to get in. We got a table around 8pm and it was still packed with people then - it looks like the go to spot in Ayr for grub and now I know why; food was super tasty and I'd go as far to say it was one of the nicest meals I had during my 10 days or so travelling throughout Scotland. Restaurant was really busy but the staff were really attentive and made sure everyone was happy with everything.Good food for good prices, nice clean and tidy building. Highly recommended & will visit again when next in the area.”

“Discovered this hidden little gem on a day trip to Ayr. I'm back from Canada on holiday and my mother and I went in to have a coffee but when we saw the food on offer we decided to eat as well. The place was packed but the service was prompt and our server, who turned out to be the owner, was very friendly. Great menu for breakfast and lunch, the owner suggested we have the soup combo which we did. Excellent homemade lentil soup and the filled rolls were great too. Fantastic value, the same thing would have cost double in Vancouver. The place emptied and the owner gaveus a brilliant history of the 1600s building it is situated in. Highly recommend the Cosy Corner, oh and the artwork by her husband was very good.”

“One of the best breakfasts I've ever had. Really good quality ingredients cooked really well. The links sausages, lorne and black pudding were all butchers quality. Served with a fresh roll from a bakery and a cup of coffee, this is one of the best value and highest quality meals I've had in a long time. I'm stuffed! ?”
