Discovered this hidden little gem on a day trip to Ayr. I'm back from Canada on holiday and my mother and I went in to have a coffee but when we saw the food on offer we decided to eat as well. The place was packed but the service was prompt and our server, who turned out to be the owner, was very friendly. I'm 40 and have been coming here everytime I visit ayr since I was 13. Its a very nice atmosphere, good home made food, especially the soup, the service is great. You don't have to sit around waiting. And the foods served hot and fast, I bring my children and the staff as always great with them. Especially my disabled son. Its a lovely cosy wee place. I've been going since I was a wee girl and now have the pleasure of taking my own daughter. Everyone is so welcoming and is very baby friendly- my wee one is treated like a celebritity. The food the tasty, fresh and traditional. A true gem!
