Lovely Scottish big breakfast.
Great coffee shop. Brilliant coffee (eco friendly takeaway cups), great cakes, and lovely hot sausage rolls
Fantastic people. Happy to sort a take away breakfast so we could enjoy the warmest July morning in the square!
Amazing fry up and coffee in the heart of Ballater! Very friendly service, piping hot and high quality fry up, service was quick - perfect start to our day on the way to Balmoral. Highly recommend. Thank you
Ordered 4 coffees. Just under £20 so over £4 a coffee. Got to takeaway and when got home the coffee tasted awful none of us could drink it. Wouldn't recommend for coffee.
Ladies are very friendly but Coffee beans have an after taste that is quite unpleasant not sure why?
What a treat! All the pastries are homemade! The cheese scone was so good! I treated myself to a quiche and mocha for breakfast and they were both delicious!
Good grub. Super speedy service. Good coffee. Open sensible hours. ?
Cakes were lovely but service slow and coffee weak (sadly). That said, I would recommend this place and there is plenty of outdoor space (not part of the cafe).
The sausage roll at the Bean For Coffee Ballater tested nicely compared to the one I had in Breamer. I will recommend it to anyone any day. The service was spot-on and the cafe was clean and serviced promptly and respectfully delivered. For your summer day trip or holiday, please come to Ballater. You can use the opportunity to see the Balmoral Bar and Castle.
Parking: It is mostly street parking the cathedral and Environs. Peacefully
Wheelchair accessibility: The Bean For Coffee is accessible to customers in wheelchairs

Opens earlier than most 9am. Good coffee and sausage roll in pastry good. Seating inside catches the early morning sun.
Stopped for a quick coffee and a bite to eat during a visit to Ballater. One Carrot cake and one Pancakes with bacon and Maple syrup with coffee.Food is very basic, Cake was good but Pancakes and bacon not so much. The bacon looked like it had been cooked 2 days before and then reheated in a dirty pan as there was egg and white fat all over it. The bacon was hard and could have been snapped in two , not nice. There are other places in Ballater that on reflection look a lot better than here !
Wonderful carrotcake and coffee. A double espresso did the job, hooked and will be back. ** we came again and loved it all over again. Sandwich and soup fresh. Wonderful staff, who show real interest in their guests. **
Lovely little cafe. We visited multiple times on our trip to Ballater. The employees are attentive and friendly, and the food is quite good. We tried several items; the big breakfast, pancakes and bacon, bacon roll with egg and cheese and the sausage roll. We asked about their bread and their pastries. We were told they make the pastries but their bread comes from Byron Bakery. It’s a great little place and quickly became our favorite breakfast spot.
Fantastic time today ?
