3 Netherley Pl, BallaterWe can’t wait to return to this excellent fish focused restaurant where the food is cooked with love and passion. The menu was spot-on with just the right amount of options. We opted for the hake and the turbot for the main, both of which were absolutely outstanding. Praise must also go to the team. They were professional, relaxed and personable. Well done to you all.

9 Victoria Rd, BallaterWe have been visiting Ballater for many years but have just discovered this wee gem. Trying to find something different for hogmanay, we tried out their festive hogmanay menu. It did not disappoint. We were made to feel welcome from the minute we walked in the door and we thoroughly enjoyed every course. Fabulous atmosphere, amazing staff and delicious food. We will definitely be back. Happy New Year. Thanks to the Green Inn for kicking off our NY celebrations in style.

Brown Sugar Cafe
8 Bridge St, BallaterWe had lunch at this lovely litte cafe whilst visiting Ballater this week. The food was delicious (toasted paninis with coronation chicken and cheese/haggis filling plus homemade coleslaw). The staff were super friendly and very efficient - it was so nice to see great customer service given with a genuine smile - they create such a nice vibe there. Thank you, we hope to return again.

47 Bridge St, BallaterThis deli shop in delightful Ballater has got a good assortment of cheeses, some olives and pickles and a selection of pantry food: jam, honey, marmalade etc The cakes look delicious and the fresh fruit and vegetables were very appetising.The building is amazing and the shop windows invite you to walk in. We will try the smoked cheese we bought from you.

35 Bridge St, BallaterThe sausage roll at the Bean For Coffee Ballater tested nicely compared to the one I had in Breamer. I will recommend it to anyone any day. The service was spot-on and the cafe was clean and serviced promptly and respectfully delivered. For your summer day trip or holiday, please come to Ballater. You can use the opportunity to see the Balmoral Bar and Castle.
Parking: It is mostly street parking the cathedral and Environs. Peacefully

Unfortunately the service fell apart after. We did get our left overs, which we asked. for. It took more than 30 minutes to get the bill. We eventally walked to the front desk to pay.
Too bad the service led to an undesirable experience.

Bridge St, BallaterOne of the best cafes I've been to in a while. Lively wee cozy cafe with a brilliant shop attached! Food was delicious and super filling, 10/10 recommend the croissant with ham and cheese, the salad is the best I've ever had, seasoning was delish. Only negative was that the menu asked for you to look at the blackboard for some options of drink, however they weren't written up anywhere I could see. Also very animal friendly which I think is amazing!

Orka Artisan Cafe & Bistro Ballater
1 Braemar Rd, BallaterLovely little place with pretty decor and nice paintings that you can purchase. The staff were friendly and welcoming and the food was great. The biscoff cake was nothing short of amazing!!! Great coffee and good selection on the menu for food and drinks.
2nd time here and will definitely be back.
Vegetarian options: My daughter is vegan and had a really nice bagel with humous and crunchy vegetables and salad.
