This deli shop in delightful Ballater has got a good assortment of cheeses, some olives and pickles and a selection of pantry food: jam, honey, marmalade etc The cakes look delicious and the fresh fruit and vegetables were very appetising.The building is amazing and the shop windows invite you to walk in. We will try the smoked cheese we bought from you.

We were staying near Ballaster and when looking for "things to do" the Deeside Deli was recommended - and it didn't disappoint! We called for meal supplies whilst my Husband chose accompaniments for our venison steaks (purchased from HM Sheridan's) I was entrusted with getting the cheeses.......not the best idea as so much to choose from, had a little taste too and settled on three blocks (Lochnagar, Elderflower Chedder & Black Bomber) all very delicious - wishes we had got more. Highly recommend a visit - so much stock choice.

Loved this gem of a speciality foods store. Very fresh produce, local cheeses and a small but excellent wine selection.
We walked into the village every day for lunch. My favorite was the ham and brie, but my husband had a different sandwich each day. The food was fresh and delicious and I will miss the desserts! Everyone who works there is kind and friendly - the ladies have earned our highest recommendation!

Had high hopes of a lovely deli sandwich with the amazing deli counter presented.. however was extremely disappointed to receive a sandwich on thin, basic supermarket sliced bread.*Edit... thank you for the kind offer of a refund. I did eat the sandwich so no refund required.

I can’t praise the Deli enough for the service I received today . I asked if they could deliver a voucher and small gift to my elderly sister . They didn’t have the gift I’d requested but sourced it from elsewhere . All this was arranged by a very friendly assistant and quickly delivered.
