Visited 6.1.24 for lunch after going the Balmoral Castle. We chose this cafe rather than the Balmoral cafe based on reviews and weren’t disappointed. Plenty of choice of cakes, scones. Soup of the day and bacon and egg rolls were delicious. Lovely, snug and warm inside with throws on chairs too for extra comfort. Staff lovely, polite and friendly. I would highly recommend visiting if you are anywhere close to this place. Noted also there were plenty of locals having bags full of takeaway food. Very reasonably priced and good sized portions.

The Highlanders Bakehouse offer huge array of artisan breads and pastries etc. Not only you can enjoy their wares in their cafe area. We certainly couldn’t criticise any single aspect of the produce.the owners and staff are extremely welcoming and courteous.couldn’t agree recommend this bakehouse and cafe enough???

Nipped past at around 16:30 at night. The big sign that said “closed” might have given it away. Regardless of that I popped my head in the door and asked the gentleman if he would sell us 2 or 3 butteries as we had heard about them. The gentleman very RUDELY refused to take any form of money from us…and instead handed me 4 butteries insisting they were on the house and to enjoy our butteries and our journey. What a very kind, wholesome man and lovely establishment which I hope continues to thrive.

Absolutely must go! Owners are fantastic, and we really enjoyed talking to them. Food is out of this world! We don't have anything to compare where we live in our area.

We came across this little gem of a cafe on our drive across the valley. My wife and I both ordered a hot dog which turned out to be exceptionally gourmet - baked bun, caramelized onion, gherkins, mustard, ketchup!! Great selection of various bakes, breads and deserts. Really nice coffee and dare I say an amazing choice of music!!
Hele lekker gebakjes en heel erg vriendelijke personeel! Perfect na een bezoekje aan het kasteel!

This place is absolutely lovely. Cozy, dog friendly and lovely staff. The selection of food, especially the cakes is amazing ( spoilt for choice)! Love the blankets and hot water bottles! Our dog Daisy loved being pampered with blankets, treats and water. This is a must if visiting Balmoral.

Choices from soup. Savoury dishes. Hand crafted loaves of bread. Huge assortment of pastries, scones and cakes. Relaxed atmosphere with cheerful service. You may have to wait a bit the highlander bakery is busy. But there are Highland views and chatty customers.

There’s nowhere better after a long wet walk! You’ll get a warm welcome, a hot water bottle and the best baked goods in the Cairngorms. Truly 10/10 ??

Love this wee place. We travel over 30miles to go there. The food is as amazing as the view. Cakes are big!! You can see Prince Albert's Pyramid on a clear day. Lovely atmosphere. Blankets on every seat for added comfort & coziness. Seating inside & out.Parking: Enough parking for maybe 10-15cars
