This was a great wedding venue. The house itself is steeped in history and the staff could not be more helpful. We stayed for two nights and the food we were served throughout that time was superb. Plenty of activities and walks around the grounds. The house and staff contributed in a big way to a very beautiful and perfect wedding.

I cannot say enough good things about Raemoir House. We had our wedding there July 18, 2023. It was the perfect experience. Neil and Julie are absolutely amazing, they made sure everything was perfect, took every ounce of stress off my shoulders, which allowed me to enjoy my day, family and guests to the absolute fullest. Neil, Julie and the rest of the staff have this magical way of making you feel incredibly special, even if your wedding is small (ours was only 30 people). I never thought something like that would make a huge difference on our stay, but it really did!!We live in Canada, and thought that planning a wedding from the other side of the world would be very difficult. But that was not the case with Raemoir House, Neil and Julie made the experience easy and enjoyable! They were quick to answer any questions or concerns, every response included different options and solutions, nothing was a road block for them!I honestly cannot recommend this place enough for a wedding, I have heard so many horror stories from friends about their weddings days, so I was a bit nervous since we'd never seen the place in person. But like I said, my day was perfect, not a single thing went wrong, or if it did, they handled it with such ease and experience that it never impacted our wedding! And the grounds itself were amazing! The rest of the staff were amazing!! The effort they put in to our table settings and rooms was amazing!! Like I said, the whole thing was just amazing! Please go and get married there!! I promise you won't regret it!!Brittany & Riley

I just had my wedding at this outstanding venue and I can not recommend it enough, the exclusiveness, the staff, the grounds the whole experience was incredible. The owners made everything so easy from the get go and were very welcoming to have multiple meetings to discuss our special day.The food provided was amazing. The staff went above and beyond helping us set up the tables and decor. Even to the little details like setting up card boxes, guest books when we forgot ourselves.100% going back for our 10year anniversary party!

Look no further, if you’re getting married in the Aberdeen or Banchory area this is a must. The venue, the staff, the grounds, this place had it all. Neil was very attentive and was on point with communicating via email for months. We didn’t have a wedding planner, but the detail, communication, and planning made it a breeze on the day of. We must give a HUGE thank you to Kate, she is an absolute legend!!! Kate made our time here so special the hospitality was like no other. She took care of everything with a helpful smile from the moment we met. Everything was a smooth transition allowing us to enjoy our time not having to think about any details because Kate was on top of it.The staff all around were all so helpful and we felt taken care of.The venue is stunning and should not be overlooked. If you have the opportunity to get married here, I suggest it. My wife and I got married in the woodlands which was magical. Neil took us up the Hill of Fare in the land cruiser which made for wonderful moments and magical pictures. The rooms were all unique and lovely. The food was amazing, the fish bar is epic and the lawn was enjoyed.I would 1000% recommend you exploring this as an option for a wedding venue, it a great way to provide an experience for your guest and enjoy quality time while being taken care of by the wonderful staff.Thank you again Neil and Kate! We appreciate you both!

The owner is quite simply the rudest person I have ever met in my life. There are certain rooms on the property which are a death trap; the windows are painted shut, and if there was a fire in the hall way you would certainly be trapped. I don't know how this has passed inspection, but perhaps the fire service are unaware of this very dangerous property. The owner just doesn't care. He shrugs his shoulders and says ' it's a 500 year old house' then scuffles away. The radiator in the room is so noisy that it's impossible to sleep. And you have to ask the owner to turn on hot water. That's if you can find him, and when you do, he just doesn't care. He was rude the entire weekend and verbally abusive to my young son , my husband and myself. He did, however apologise to me for his inappropriate behavior. He clearly has bad days where he cannot control himself.Rooms: Rooms are beautiful. But a death trap. They should be condemned before there is a tragic accident.Safety: Windows in the room are painted shut, leaving occupants trapped in the event of a fire.Food & drinks: Food was lovely. The owner sells warm , stale, flat fizzy juice from plastic bottles.Noteworthy details: Impossible to escape rooms in the event of a fire. The owner can turn very nasty on guests.

I attended a wedding here which involved a weekend stay. My suite was clean, spacious and aesthetically pleasing. The setting is beautiful and Raemoir House itself is gorgeously grand. The staff, service and food outstanding. Loved it ❤️

Very beautiful place, ideal for a wedding or a private event. The only issue is that Google maps send you to Raemoir house stables or something like that, right next to the actual house so, make sure you are following the right route.

Was here for a wedding a while ago. The bride and groom had paid for all the guests accommodation and food for the whole weekend. The wedding was gorgeous and it was such a happy occasion. I certainly will not forget it. The grounds and buildings are gorgeous. The bar staff were so friendly and helpful. It’s just the owner that was issue. On the day of the wedding there was a lunch buffet at the bar. The bride and groom had paid for this, the sandwiches were lovely. There were drinks laid out too, however these weren’t paid for by the bride and groom, supposedly these had been bought by the owner, despite this not being sign posted at all, or anyone being made aware of this. Many people had taken a drink, when I took a drink the owner approached me and told me they were purchasable. I told him I didn’t have cash on me and he could charge it to my room. No big deal at all.Later on I saw him and said hi, he told me not to attempt to steal from me again. Used many condescending terms such as “young boy” ect. I told him I’d never knowing steal from someone and taking the matter further with me was a damp squib, if he thought I was stealing he should call the police and get them to deal with it. I was a bit shaken up but found the humour in a grumpy hotel manager thinking everyone’s out to get him. Sure I was annoyed but I couldn’t help laughing at such a Basil Faulty- esque situation. My mum didn’t take the same way, and confronted him. He was so rude and condescending toward her. Refuting any personal blame and using so many narcissistic tactics to gaslight my mother into giving up. He’ll do anything to divert blame, and I can see that from his response to other reviews here. The place is gorgeous, and I can’t speak for the bride and groom but that incident aside I had a lovely time there. Seems like a great place for a wedding, but I could never consider it for myself due to the owner.

Stunning. I was here for a wedding and had an incredible time. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the food was delicious, and the grounds were gorgeous. The rooms themselves are very nice and homey. The beds are super comfortable!
