They accommodated a party of 19 of us and the entire experience was excellent.Rami is an excellent host, and made us all feel welcome and valuedTruly good value, excellent quality food and drink. Atmosphere was first class too.Definitely recommended. We'll definitely be making return visits.

Cannot comment on hotel facilities, as we only had lunch there .Very pleasant, somewhat busy, but that was a plus point, so it's deemed popular.We had a pleasant experience and lunch.

The location of the hotel is very good. Unfortunately I was hosted during a renovation and this didn't help the experience. Having dinner smelling vapours of paint solvent isn't great honestly. Food and drinks for dinner were absolutely fine. The room had a few maintenance issues including one of the radiators inop which caused the room being cold. I asked and got a fan heater to cope with it. I booked one of the nicest options for the room so the expectations were somehow different. I think the renewal process caused the most of the issues draining the hotel staff attention to cope with it. In any case, in out of a renewal process the hotel is fully recommendable.

We spent two nights earlier this month at the hotel for a wee break and to visit old haunts in the area. We enjoyed our stay very much. All the staff, we interacted with, were extremely friendly and helpful across all roles. Special mention to the young waiting staff and their enthusiastic approach to their roles and the future of the hotel as it continues to develop under new ownership. We wish them well in their further education and future career paths. Jenny, the new owner, is extremely commited to her staff and the hotels future developments. The bedroom and some areas looked a bit tired but we understand that refurbishments are being undertaken soon. We had dinner on our second evening and found the menu and food excellent. We highly recommend residents or non residents book one meal at least. We plan to revisit in the future and look forward to seeing the changes that are made by Jenny and her dedicated staff. The old style window frame was showing signs of dampness .Nearby activities: Anywhere in Royal Deeside is worth visiting, beautiful area. The hotel is well located for this.Food & drinks: Very good Breakfast/Dinner menu choices. Food was excellent.Noteworthy details: Staff very friendly and helpful. Hotel about to have extensive refurbishments which will make it an even more worthwhile place to book and stay. Lift unfortunately was out of order but due for repair the day we left.

A Large table of 15 friends we booked 'The bothy' to give us more of a private dining experience. It was a busy Saturday evening and there was also a wedding and others dining. The service from the staff was friendly and attentive. We had pre-ordered our main course since we were a larger group and this worked well as was ready to be served to us as soon as we were. The food was excellent, and had great options for differing dietary requirements- vegan, gluten free and vegetarian. Food arrived, piping hot, beautifully presented and tasted fantastic. We couldn't resist the desert menu - Sticky toffee pudding was amazing! It has recently been taken over with new managment. I can highly recommend Tornacoille if you are looking for somewhere great to eat in the Banchory area.

Exceptional service from drinks in the lounge to food in the restaurant, Tornacoille couldn't do enough to make our culinary experience any better. Full marks to the chefs, first launch of a completely new menu and the food was superb and presentation was second to none. Will definitely be back for more !
