We had a birthday meal here in February 2024 for 6 people & the food was nice, service was ok & atmosphere was busy. I noted the menu did not have spice strength indicators (simple 1-3 chilli picture would suffice) & the details of some dishes were not on the menu provided so you need to know about the dishes before visiting & ordering. My food was nice others said they also enjoyed thier food.If menus improved & service was a bit more personal then I would be able to give more stars.Ultimately we had an ok meal from here.

Usually I love this place but tonight’s take away, (which I collected), was awful. Ready 20 minutes after the collection time, they were obviously super busy, super stressed and not coping well. Lamb chops were dry and overcooked and without the sauce supposed to come with them. Dhansac was watery and lacking in seasoning. King prawns were mushy and overcooked. Roti and mushroom rice were the usual excellent standard I expect from Ashoka

Take away from Ashoka Bearsden. Ordered before pick up and still had to wait 1/2 hour and there were only 2 tables with customers. Also had to wait 10 mins before anyone acknowledged that I was waiting. But the main gripe is the amount of curry. Half a portion? Come on Ashoka, you can do better than this or is this a sign of things to come, portion size wise. Shrinkflation.

Excellent food, very tasty, good choice in vegan menu, while my partners chicken curry was very well cooked..all the staff were attentive, polite and the service Uditi gave us was excellent. Prices was reasonable. Will definitely return

What a disappointment with our carry out….this restaurant used to be great but have to say has gone down hill big time. Both curries were very salty, not a lot of chicken and Nan bread left a lot to be desired. Won’t be back

Dropped in for a quick bite to eat on a Monday evening in November, all the staff we encountered were really pleasant and personable, food was good, my Rogan Josh was really tasty and well cooked. Great selection of vegan/ veggie choices on the menu. Our server Nicole was really helpful and we enjoyed our meal so much we decided to order a take away for our son, this came quickly, all in all a good experience

Was a wonderful Dinner at the Ashoka Bearsden, have been coming here since it was built on the location. Can tell you honestly that it has improved in every aspect as we are now in 2023 compared to what it was like in the 1990's. Food was outstanding across the Table of Family & Friends - mine was a damn fine 'South Indian Garlic Chilli' - Chicken was done better than anywhere else I've been frankly. Staff were excellent & attentive enough to support a fine 'Dining Experience'. Passing a highlight to Nicole who was on our Table - she was great & supported the experience very well. Credit is passed to Nicole & I also wish to pass thanks & credit to the Chef's who really are top class in my opinion. A very good Restaurant - my feelings. Regards

Ordered chicken tika massala x spicy and one creamy plus nan bread /rice. Pakora v good. Chicken was raw and certainly not tika- couldn't eat it-was disgusting. Waited over half an hour for some replacement chicken tika. Nan bread was doughy. All in a disgusting night- were not even offered a complimentary drink and tried to charge us/rip us off for the original meals which we ordered. Will never return!

Ordered a takeaway meal for our family at the weekend. Was first time we had chosen to order from Ashoka in a while. The food arrived late, it was stone cold, dried out and frankly one of the worst curries I can remember. We will never return here. No idea what’s happened to the Ashoka but whatever it is, it’s not good.

So I found this place on Google as I've tried all nearer me and never really like them. 1st time I ordered I got the mixed vegetables bhoona, I loved the sauce but some of the vegetables wernt my taste so the 2nd time I ordered I phoned and asked if they could just put potato in the bhoona sauce and they agreed. I cannot stress enough how good this curry was honestly the best I've ever had and I've tried loads!! Potato bhoona should be put on the menu soooo good will definitely order again I've finally found a great curry

Had a delivery of 3 starters. 3 mains, 2 rice, chips and nan bread. Chicken pakora was very dry and chewy and unfortunately we were given 2 portions of chicken instead of one chicken and one mixed. The Chasni was absolutely tasteless ( and I know my chasni's) it actually looked like the korma. Unfortunately my grand-daughter found a hair in hers ( fortunately she is a child and that doesn't put them off their food) not the point though ? the chips were stone cold and the nan bread that was suppose to be a peshwari but was a plain nan with a handful of coconut in the middle as if it was poured on before they folded it. I did try to call the restaurant but no answer (I am aware it is very very busy) so thus is why I am writing the review
