Historic place to have a snack,or a larger meal.Good down to earth home cooked fare.

First time visit and most of the food was adequate but not the best available locally. I had a chicken fajita wrap and it was tasty enough but didn't contain a lot of chicken. The side salad was a bit limp and was served devoid of any dressing. Others had the Lasagne as pictured which was tasty but rather burned in places. The cafe is certainly different inside and that adds to its charm. I might have caught it on a busy day and will probably give it another go?

Myself and 3 friends came across this gorgeous wee café whilst away for the weekend in Blairgowrie. The staff were amazing and the menu was brilliant. So reasonably priced. Good quality food. Brilliant for various dietary requirements including GF. The décor and the actual Dome were beautiful. Hope to return to Blairgowrie in the future and will definitely be back.Dietary restrictions: Excellent selection of GF options

A little bit more character than your average cafe, we were pleased we chose to pause here for a light lunch. The soup and roll option appealed - the roll was large and fresh, and the soup tasty (broccoli and cheddar). The sweet treats were impossible to resist, and so we followed up with coffee and cake. I asked for a double shot in a smaller cup, and got a good coffee of a decent strength. We chose the carrot cake and the Victoria sponge - both were fresh and moist. We also asked for some tap water which came out in a generous sized glass which we appreciated. This is quite a large cafe with tables at the rear under the dome, and in little booths at the front with a view out to the street. It is not a stuffy space - the front door was open letting in some cool air on a warmer day. Toilets at the back. There were plenty of locals eating there on the day we visited, a testament to a reliable, consistent place.

This was our visit after a friend had visited a few weeks ago and said they really enjoyed it. We were not disappointed. We were greeted by friendly staff when we walked in and every member of staff we saw or spoke to was smiling and chatty.Very good choices on the menu from simple snacks to main meals and everything inbetween. My husband had an all day breakfast and had not 1 grumble about it. I opted for the steak baguette and thoroughly enjoyed it and rather grudgingly saved a bit to take home as a treat for the cat. Everything was well cooked, good quality, proper temperature and very tasty. Nice atmosphere all round. I`ve already decided what I`ll have next time we visit. Was nice to see historical photo`s on the wall too. Keep up the good work, I`ll be spreading the word.

I’ve been to the Dome a few times and today I stopped in with my friend and my guide dog puppy in training for coffee and a sweet treat. I had to write because I think I’ve managed to find the best red velvet cake in Scotland! It was absolutely delicious and had every element of a perfect red velvet cake - expertly baked layers of cake, and in between was creamy white filling - with the perfect amount of light, creamy cream cheese frosting. Can’t wait to go back!

The cafe has been taken over and previous reviews are unfair as the cafe is clean, the staff are very friendly and the food is really good at a fair price. I go every month with another 9 people for a catch up and there is no pressure to hurry and eat your food. First class

Counter order Cafe /Restaurant. Very packed when we arrived. maybe during less rushed hours service is more personal. Almost 15 min after order they came to the table to say they didn't had the broccoli soup. Menu is varied and fearly big soft drink selection. Ordered the chorizo panini and chorizo soup. Ham and Cheese toasted sandwich. Broccoli soup. Minute Steak Baggett. (basically a steak and cheese) The chorizo soup Was ok. Good flavor in general but tasted like meat spaghetti sauce. Was expecting more distinct chorizo flavor. However the white bread accompany the soup was fresh and soft. Great bread. ? The chorizo panini was great. I did get the chorizo flavor the sundried tomato does complement it nicely. In general the food is good however the staff is clueless. The food took 30 min to get to the table and they swap some of the food with another table. The try to get it back after they served it to someone else. And still came back wrong. The staff keep comming with food and looking around every table asking if it was their order. The minute Steak finally arrive after 40 min. And it was underwhelming. It was bland. They use a sweet roll that doesn't work with the sandwich. overall it was disappointing. But to be fair the chorizo sandwich was excellent. I will advise to visit during non rush hour hopefully you get a better experience.

Stopped off for lunch today and it was excellent. I had gluten free macaroni cheese, such a rare treat. Husband had a full breakfast and the meat was butcher quality, not the cheap supermarket variety. The coffee was excellent and the service was very friendly. Well done The Dome!

Lovely place for a coffee and cake. It's worth having a look at the round room at the back with the dome roof. Ask the staff about the history of the place, it's very interesting.

Found this little gem after visiting Kinclaven's Bluebell Woods. Had a lovely lunch of homemade steak pie, chips and peas. A hearty serving, hot plates, hot food, good price, friendly staff. What more can you ask for? Will definitely return.

Quirky restaurant. Seating is either what look like short old pews arranged as booths in the front near the counter or normal table and chairs in the rear under the dome. They do a good assortment of savoury food and is always tasty and good value. There isn’t a huge choice of cakes and sometimes nothing takes our fancy so that’s good for the waistline. The coffee was fine the first time we went in but the quality can vary. Not sure if it’s different staff making it or if they vary the coffee they use. My partner tried the tea but found it lacked flavour. The inconsistency of the coffee and the rather grumpy lady shouting not to forget one of the items on our check, at either the waitress who was ringing up our bill, or us, has rather put us off going back. Especially as there are other places locally which, although more expensive, consistently serve excellent coffee.
