I had an amazing stay. Nick and Susannah are super nice, the room spacious and comfortable, the food amazing. They recommended great hikes and even let me borrow their well-behaved, friendly dog for one of the walks. I will definitely come back if I'm in the area again.

Jist walked out of the meadows callander? One glass of wine and one Can of coke and they tried to charge £16 wtf I am a resident in callander and there are far better places to drink and lots cheaper? Obviously catered for tourists absolutely shocking

Sat outside and had sandwiches and coffee. Good service and pleasant setting in the garden after an otherwise depressing trek up and down the main drag. Good experience and I’d recommend.

Fabulous site, couldn’t fault it. Large pitches, immaculate toilet facilities, Not too far from Callander and local pubs etc..

We had dinner here last night and it was simply fabulous and very reasonably priced. It was a 5/6 course set menu for £50, and we both found things we liked. It was all freshly prepared and pickles, sauces etc all homemade. The dining room is a cosy intimate room. We thoroughly enjoyed our night. So good to have a restaurant like this in Callander!! It was all so lovely I forgot to take pictures until the desert!!

Arrived in Callander for a bank holiday a wee day with my mum, searching the food options nothing really stood out (not a dig at anywhere I was just being fussy). Walked by an archway, looked beyond and saw it leading in to a hidden garden off the thoroughfare. Had to give a shot & thankfully I did because the menu although concise offered quality in spades: kicked off with a French onion soup (rarely seen in the wild these days) , I’m not too ashamed to admit but I could’ve drunk a pint of the stuff! Here’s where my only criticism lies, could’ve done with a wee bit more cheese on the crouton but that really is nit picking since the homemade bread it was served on practically melted in the mouth. I was recommended the new lamb kofta burger & and not being one to go pass up a good recommendation went all in & thankfully I did: fresh fresh lamb & mint flavours with perfectly cooked skin on fries - I’ll be thinking of this for some to come. To wrap things up was the staff, attentive & truly pleasant bunch, they just made the whole thing an absolute pleasure. Look forward to seeing you guys soon!

Ended a weeks stay in the Trossachs by booking a special evening out. Did my research and found Callendar meadows had lots of amazing reviews so went with that. We chose from a set menu - good choices which also catered well for vegetarians. So glad we went. Every course was (home) cooked, using fresh seasonal ingredients and each meal was faultless. We started with homemade bread, olives and hummus - have to mention these were unusually good olives. We chose asparagus panna cotta and chicken live parfait as starters, which tasted as good as they looked - both presented beautifully. Soup was carrot and orange , brought in a pretty teacup, with garlic croutons, a swirl of creme fraiche and chopped chives - the best carrot soup we’ve ever had. For our main courses, we chose baked cod with cheese topping and bean-stuffed red pepper. Again, both cooked to perfection, hugely tasty and delicious accompaniments. Puddings again were such well thought out dishes - we had a mango mousse and bread&butter pudding - thought to just name them is to understate their quality in terms of flavour, freshness and presentation. As well as the food, the dining room needs a mention. Beautiful front room in a beautiful house (also a B&B though we weren’t staying). The atmosphere was relaxed even though we felt we were dining so well. Some diners were dressed up, some dressed more relaxed - all felt right and comfortable. Around 7 or 8 tables in all ensured a personal, friendly service . I can’t end this review without mentioning Theo. He was working alongside the owner, and seemingly being trained along the way. He was absolutely lovely and has the makings of a very good waiter/server/host - friendly, attentive, just nicely confident, able to provide detail as of food when asked etc. Many thanks to the whole team, we had a truly wonderful evening with you. If we return to the area, we will absolutely be returning to Callander Meadows.

Its B and B centrally located near the national park. It’s on the Main Street in Callander and run by a friendly couple. The breakfast was good and they serve dinner some nights. However the mattress and bed linen were old, uncomfortable and downright pitifully dated. I did not feel clean or comfortable in their bed. If you can deal with this it’s a place for you. Outside of the bed the place was ok. The room and baths and dining room were clean.

Delicious meal. Thank you for making our dinner so enjoyable (and making a fuss of our 1 year old who has never eaten so well).

There seems to be confusion here, Callander meadows is a beauty spotIn the Trossachs town of Callander. It is NOT a hotel but it is surrounded by hotels, B&B's cafes and restaurants and a myriad of great shops on the small towns main St.It is a place of beauty, peace and tranquility. The river Teith runs through it on a very fast current to join with the greater River Forth. In summer, Callander is a very busy place and hotel rooms can be scarce indeed. The pick of the main Street hotels for me, is the long established Crown hotel. Perfectly situated, a minutes walk from the meadows, where there is excellent service and great food. This undoubted haven is only 1 hour's drive away from Glasgow off the M80 to Stirling.?I stand corrected but had no idea that there is indeed a B&B called Callander meadows which i shall aquaint myself with on next visit. The description of the beauty spot in my review remains unchanged so please enjoy both, marvelling at the sight of one whilst staying at the other?
