Not great, poor quality of food and expensive. No atmosphere, very cold and not particularly friendly.

Visiting Callander for a couple of days and popped into this cafe. Staff friendly. Ordered 2 bowls of soup with bread, a cheese and onion toastie and 2 mugs of tea. Cost £25.90. Thought this was very expensive for a lunch.

It’s very rare I leave negative reviews - However, I feel I need to in order to warn other people and hopefully encourage the owners to improve this place. We visited on New Years Day when (understandably) they had a limited menu. I should have known when we walked in and it was cold, there was no atmosphere and no one else in there, however we were hungry and had decided to treat ourselves to one brunch out for our entire winter camping holiday. WHAT A MISTAKE!!!We were robbed of £25 for 2 salmon bagels and 2 pretty awful coffees. The bagels were half toasted, no butter, a chunk of cream cheese slapped in the middle and a tiny slither of salmon with some stale crisps on the side. The coffees were pretty poor, I drank my eggnog latte but my fiancé didn’t bother with his ‘milky flat white’.The tip of the iceberg was when I asked if I could get some boiling water in my flask, and whilst the man serving was more than happy, the lady looked as if I had asked her if I could help myself to the fridge ? After spending £25 on poor poor food, I would have expected a bit of hot water for free.Anyway, you win some you lose some - We walked out and straight into an awesome coffee shop across the way for some strong coffees and a bacon bap (all for £10) to actually fill us up!

Went in with a party of 10 only had 2 staff on but we're excellent, food was really good and atmosphere was splendid.

Service was poor. Not friendly. Food was good and environment is comfortable enough.

Very over priced for what you get, 2 wee cakes and 2 teas. Better value at costa. Only 1 toilet & door broken, its dirty, dead wasps on window ledge, tables in courtyard too near the bins. would not go back.

Fantastic little coffee shop directly in the middle of Callander!

Spotted the sign "toilets strictly for customers" ... obviously unfriendly...walked away!

Ordered toastie and crisp for £6.50 . Received one slice of cheese between two slices of bagged bread and one slice of tomato. Disappointing. When I asked about the missing crisps I was told I would have to pay extra!?! She was incredibly rude and also would not let us use the toilet despite being a paying customer.

Pushy male server. Female server didn't seem experienced with any of the products or orders. My tomato soup was acidic, lentil soup was white in colour!! The 1/2 slice of bread came spread in MARGARINE without us being asked!! Over-priced and absolutely no atmosphere. We will never go back here!!

We ordered a bowl of lentil and ham soup and a bowl of tomato soup with two teas. The soups were very poor and came accompanied with a half slice of bread. Without being asked, the bread was spread with something that masquerade as butter but tasted foul. The bill for all of the above was just under £18.00. We certainly won't be calling in to this place again.

Really expensive for what you get.A ham and cheese toastie that wouldn't fill a mouse."Tomato and basil" soup with a taste that reminds me of one of Heinz's 57 varieties.I was expecting a gourmet meal or anything but this really was the bare minimum. The first time I have been eating somewhere and also feeling like warning people as they entered to run away with some haste.

OMG this place is pricey. One latte, one tea and 2 small cakes over £16. Cakes /drinks were nice enough and staff were ok, but sadly wouldn't return with these prices. Much cheaper options elsewhere.

Worst cafe I've ever been to stay away! The place was unclean and cold. The food is expensive and poor quality. Probably for the best, the portions were small. The manager was also far too pushy on us ordering cakes, toasties ...

Terrible place. Rude staff, as we stepped through the door we were shouted at from behind the counter about what we wanted hot food, cakes, before having a chance to look at the menu. Very limited choices. Ordered two toasties and two diet cokes was £17!The bread used was cheap, and hardly any filling. Would not recommend, many other lovely looking cafes on the high street.
