Visited La Piazza today and was very disappointed, we were a family group of 11 & had pre booked the table for 9 plus 2 highchairs, when we arrived we were shown to our table by an elderly lady, we then discovered they’d misunderstood the booking & had a table for 7 plus 2 highchairs allotted, except they only had one highchair available. I was made to feel this was my fault & I should have been clearer when booking. They did grudgingly extend the table to fit us all & my granddaughter aged 2 sat on a car booster seat to reach the table leaving the highchair for her 14month old cousin.My 6yr old grandson has autism & struggles to sit still for any length of time, I explained this to the elderly lady who appeared to be in charge and asked if I could take him onto the covered outdoor terrace so he could let off steam whilst we waited for everyone to arrive without disturbing other diners, again very grudgingly she allowed us outside stating it wasn’t safe in case they fell over…??In due course our food arrived, starters were excellent as was the childrens spaghetti bolognese, however, when our main courses arrived we were somewhat disappointed at the size of the portions, 2 adults ordered lasagne which was bland, dry & smaller than the kids meals. My daughter ordered chicken & mushroom risotto and had to send it back as it had a strong citrus flavour & an over-riding taste of butter, I suspect the butter used was rancid. The lady in charge came over to ask what was wrong with it, stated that only 1/2 a spoon of butter had been used as per the recipe and offered her another, my daughter declined this & the lady left with no other comment.We felt very uncomfortable the whole time we were there and the elderly lady in charge made it quite obvious we weren’t welcome. Needless to say we didn’t have dessert or coffee and we certainly won’t be back!Such a shame!

Very rude staff with no communication, was told we couldn’t sit at a table that was empty from start to finish. No please and thank yous, had to remind them of what we asked for. Took our food away when we were still eating. Ordered food that was so spicy it wasn’t eatable and did not say on menu there was spice and chilli. No thank you for payment, very unwelcoming. Would definitely avoid this if you can

We came here for takeout pizza, the pizza was fine but I wouldn’t venture to call it amazing which is a shame.The menu is a little basic, the pizzas basically have one topping on them, and the pepperoni pizza had a total of 12 slices of meat on it.The garlic bread with mozzarella was the best thing we got.

Friendly staff, excellent food. Initially my partner's steak was a bit underdone for her liking but it was sorted quickly with no issues.Meal price is excellent, booze can be pricey depending on what you order.Thank you for a lovely meal, we will be back.

Have used la piazza on several occasions during lockdown for their takeaway service The food is excellent and my next plan is to book in for a sit down meal which I'm looking forward to. The takeaway menu was excellent and represented good value for money. Thoroughly enjoyed it and would like to thank them for the service they provided.
