No farm shop . Park charge over the

The food we had was tasty enough and the staff were pleasant and helpful. However it left a bitter taste to find that there was a parking charge of £2.50 to use the cafe. The grounds did look nice though, and I wouldn't have minded the parking charge so much if I'd had time for a walk. The menu on the website is not current - a bowl of rather thin potato soup was over £6 and toasties are now around £10. Nearly everything (savoury) on the menu includes cheese of some sort. The toilets were across a courtyard and could do with updating.Overall it was ok, but definitely overpriced, and if I'm in the area again I'll try somewhere else.Parking: £2.50

I paid 2.50 to park at a cafe in a well known local park popular with dog walkers. The cafe does not allow dogs inside.p I was offered the option to sit outside in high winds. I would have been up for that had the menu offered something substantial, but it was soup, sandwiches or a hot sausage roll, not really ideal for a cold, windy November day. I went elsewhere and therefore spent no money in any of the other shops here. Tho park looks nice and the dog enjoyed a brief jaunt here.Parking: 2.50GBP

Lovely spot and staff just a shame about the food. Had a disappointing lunch after a lovely walk around the estate, wouldn’t rush back for lunch.

We arrived after a long day travelling, at 3pm. Sat at a table inside which appeared dirty, it was old cup stains which could have been removed. A young woman came over and asked would we like a menu or did we know what we want. I said we'd like a menu as we didn't know what there was. She wasn't over friendly, no smile , not welcoming. So after looking at menu made our choices. She returned to the table and when we told her what we want, she said there's none of that. Right so let's choose something else. She said there's no food at this time of day, only cakes! Well why give out menus rather than saying that?! They were giving menus to all that came in without giving that information. Anyway we were tired and hungry so had a scone and coffee. The scone I had was dry.Overall not impressed. Won't go back.

Very disappointed on this visit. We left after waiting patiently for our order to be taken but the table still hadn't been cleared from the previous visitors and there did not appear to be a system in place. The people at three other tables also left after waiting a long time and no sign of being served. The table next to us actually asked the waitress to take their order as they had chosen what they wanted but she didn't respond as requested. We used to frequent this Cafe often but this has put us off coming again.

We arrived as a group of 14 today for lunch and despite being a large group we were served quickly and our food arrived very shortly after. The menu had a good range of choice for kids and adults and all the food we had was delicious. All the servers were attentive and very friendly. Even the children in the group were raving about the cafe and the food. I would highly recommend this as a place to visit in the area.Kid-friendliness: The cafe were happy to make simple options for the kids if there wasn't anything on the menu that they wanted.
