We had the most fantastic stay here for our anniversary. We upgraded to the suite and it was absolutely incredible! They had thought of absolutely everything in the room including wireless chargers next to the bed and all the information about walks etc in the area. It was spotlessly clean, private, quiet and peaceful. Beautiful view of the loch too. We couldn't believe how good value it was for the stay with dinner and breakfast which were both fantastic. We will definitely be back!

We stayed here for a wedding at another venue and it was just amazing. Cosy, quiet with stunning views over Loch Earn. Claire was amazing, so friendly and helpful. Highly recommend for amazing food and perfect rest

GOOD POINTS: comfortable bed modern bathroom quiet at night beautiful setting overlooking the loch easy parking AREAS FOR IMPROVEMENT: Knowing that we were booked into the 2 Garden rooms, it would have been helpful if we were emailed beforehand to tell us to leave our luggage in the car, as it would have been much easier to have taken our luggage in via the outside doors. As it was, we had to carry our cases up to the reception area and then down another set of stairs to our rooms. On arrival to the hotel, we waited for sometime in the reception area before a member of staff appeared. The service at dinner could have been better. For example, we had to ask for water twice before it appeared and the unused wine glasses were left on the table for the entire meal. For an expensive meal, one expects better service. Although the bathroom was modern, the shower was very weak. Publicise that breakfast does not start until 8.30 (although the breakfast menu stated 8am). Ideally, we would have eaten earlier. I did contact the hotel before I wrote this review and had a reply thanking me for the feedback and they would feedback to the staff concerned.

For two octagenarians, the Dochart bedroom was ideal: only a few steps from the bar, breakfast, and dining rooms, spacious, firm mattress, soft pillows, sparkling bathroom and a Loch view. The tasting menu was excellent: each of the six items intrigued the eye with its detail and the palate with its flavour and succulence - an exemplar of Chef Davida's art. We chose our own wines - picked from a modest but wide-ranging list with around half of them available by the glass. The RSA Chenin Blanc was spot on with the fresh Coley, the hand-dived Mull scallop linked to a Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc, and the Roe Deer entré matched to a MAN Family Cabernet Sauvignon from the Cape (read the 'Telegraph' review!) They are hand-picked by Claire from Harrison's in Crieff, itself an Aladdin's Cave of a family wine shop worth a detour! The Bar shelves are well laden with a spectrum of single malt whisky and gins. The Breakfast Room delivers a panoramic view of Loch Earn: its wide-ranging menu of hot dishes include the Full Scottish - with haggis and black pudding on offer! The service is friendly, attentive, and hospitable from Laura's warm greeting on arrival to the almost apologetic handling of the account on departure. This was our fifth visit and we shall be back in the Spring. NB There is an electric car charger in the generous car park!

What can we say ! Stayed at thee very best hotels around the world , also in Scotland and England with my doggies. Pet friendly doesn’t begin to describe how truly wonderful this hotel is / felt like a beautiful peaceful , luxurious home from home the minute we checked in ! So many establishments in Scotland say dog friendly , but you have to leave your pets in rooms all evening . I understand not everyone loves dogs and especially if eating , as we did here in a high end restaurant . But they have a beautiful conservatory , separate from the main formal dining room , but so beautifully decorated and not made to feel excluded , which was wonderful and so appreciated . Also the kindness and thoughtfulness that we were given a table in the formal dining room for breakfast , as breakfast for all guests is served in the conservatory , was what I thought a beautiful touch and very thoughtful. Many thanks for that , so we got to experience both beautiful dining experiences , thank you . What I loved is yes not every person is dog friendly , but the balance and care here for everyone goes beyond expectations . Not just this however , the level of excellent customer service is simply outstanding . From sorting my dads morning paper out , to So much helpful advice re local activities and sightseeing to just , to be honest genuine care , warmth and the most sincere hospitality we have ever experienced , even from thee most highest rated Michelin star establishments in Scotland , we cannot rate this wonderful , family run exceptional hotel highly enough . A very big thank you to Laura , Claire , Ulrica , Davide , what a chef , the food was sublime , simply and seriously some of the best locally sourced and prepared beautiful dinners and breakfasts we have had the pleasure to sample , as well as the wine tasting to perfectly match every course , obviously only at supper not breakfast ! Cannot wait to return , cannot wait to return , as Tina Turner herself would say “Simply the best “ You must go and treat yourself Many many thanks , best holiday in a very long time , hope to see you all very soon xxx

What a fantastic short break we had here. Colleagues in bar and restaurant were professional but also very friendly. They couldn't do enough to make our drinking and eating experience brilliant. The rooms we had (next to each other on the ground floor) were delightful and the beds wonderfully comfortable. Look forward to returning.

If all you want is , some of the finest food, prepared using the very best of produce, by a chef operating at the highest level…, . Then this might be the place for you. ….. If you also fancy, a very comfortable, clean and well equipped room to sleep in after your fine dining experience? Again this might be the very place you want. Should you wish to top it all off with a view onto a Scottish Loch , surrounded by stunning beautiful hills and natural wildlife. Then Achray House Hotel is absolutely and most definitely the place for you. Add a team dedicated to hard work and the highest levels of service to all of the above and in my view this also becomes the most astonishing value for money. I cannot recommend it highly enough. Laura and her team are professional, dedicated and committed. Thank you for a fantastic weekend, We will be back

1 night stay with my husband. We expected a lovely stay based on all the great reviews, but were disappointed. We appreciate that it is an old building, etc., but general standards of cleanliness was pretty poor. The room had not been cleaned to a satisfactory standard, the pillows were badly stained. Dinner in the restaurant was decent, but not worth what we paid. All a bit depressing really

Although our stay was only one night it was most enjoyable. The food at dinner was excellent, the staff were very friendly and helpful, and our room was well presented clean and comfortable with a lovely view across Loch Earn.

We booked this after receiving it as a gift. Arrived after walking up Ben Chonzi. Checked in to our room and relaxed with a nice ale before getting ready for dinner, sitting out on the decking in the sunshine looking out over the Loch. We were in the Loir suite, which had views over the Loch, a comfy large bed, an alexa for music and a large screen TV. The shower wasn't the best but I ended up having a bath after our walk. We had a six course tasting menu which was excellent, next time we will inclue the wine flight, the couple next to us had ordered, but we stuck to our red. Breakfast was a good selection, hot and tasty. We will definitely be back for a break.

We recently stayed at Achray house and it was fabulous from start to finish. Very friendly and helpful staff, beautiful, clean room (Earn Suite) and the food was absolutely delicious. Staff were very knowledgeable about the food and wine. I liked that breakfast didn't start until 8.30am...have stayed in too many hotels where I've been woken by staff banging around far too early! Already looking for dates we can return!

Given a tasting menu break by friends. Fabulous stay. The room was really nice with a view over the loch with some nice touches like Alexa, iPhone charging dock and towelling robes. The tasting menu was exceptional. We have been to Michelin starred restaurants for tasting menus and this one was better! The general manager, who is not sommelier trained, had put together an equally impressive array of matched wines. All in all a thoroughly enjoyable experience and we will most certainly be back.

This is the fourth time we've stayed. We love this hotel. Location. Food. Service. It's lovely. I would add maybe a more interesting wine list in case management are reading, but no matter. We will be back next year anyway.

Stayed elsewhere in town as this place was unfortunately fully booked. Can’t recommend highly enough - food was top notch, staff were incredibly friendly and views out onto the loch are stunning. They cater easily for dietary requirements (my wife is coeliac so no gluten and they called me earlier in the day to check if we required them to clean down the kitchen before service, depending on how severe her reaction is to cross contamination risk). It was so nice they managed to squeeze us in again and we went back the second night. They also allow dogs in the separate bar dining area (and have some dog friendly rooms if you’re staying). Would go back in a heartbeat!
