Possibly the most expensive chippy we’ve ever been to - and unfortunately the food wasn’t anywhere near worth the sky high price.4x Regular Fish & Chips, 2x sides for you to takeaway tonight, Sir… £55?!I’m guessing Comrie is an expensive place as the chippy was fairly busy, despite the eye watering prices. The chips we received were dry and crunchy and although the batter on the fish was tasty - the pieces of fish themselves were at best average quality, and there was nothing about the food or the experience to explain why the prices were so high (apart from there being no competition for miles around)…I guess if you live locally then you probably have no option other than to pay the prices, but having had better fish & chips at home in Lincolnshire for 5 people for £33 last weekend it was quite a shock to pay the price we did for the meals and received.

Great chips! Pretty good fish. A little on the greasy side. Ok mushy peas. Staff was a bit curt, but not unfriendly.

Felt the need to review after seeing the negative reviews on here, which didn’t reflect our experience. We visited on a Friday night. No wait to order, friendly service, food cooked to order. Fish was large and came with a bonus piece. I had scampi which was great. Hot, well cooked, freshly prepared.

I really think the woman behind the counter didn't heard anything I said then gave my partner and I single meals instead of suppers but charged me for suppers. The food was fine.

The worst pizza in the world ever! and it was £11.80, however the chips were ok.

We always enjoy the food and make sure to visit when we are in Comrie. Service with a smile and generous portions.

Decent chippy and certainly way better than Crieff's. The fish was freshly battered and fried, and the supper was enjoyable. Not massive portions but OK. One thing to be aware of - the opening hours are quirky and limited to a few short hours teatime to early evening. That's if it is open. Best to check.

Good fish, medium chips overcooked, peas good. Pricey for a single portion (£14.10) which included a 20p bag to carry out to my car! I ate at The Magpie Cafe in Whitby last week, which (as you would expect) was in a different league to this....and was cheaper!!
