Welcome lunch stop while out for a walk. Lovely position and clean facilities. 2 delightful young men serving, so polite, made a really great coffee . Sandwiches made in front of us, wearing gloves. Big bowl of tasty soup, although a bit too salty for our taste. A definite repeat

Excellent friendly service, ambience, food and bathrooms. The toffee and apple muffin was the best I have tasted in my travels around UK in last 7 months - moist and tasty. My wife had beautiful gluten- free carrot cake. Cafe also has almond milk which my wife needed for her coffee as she is dairy intolerant. Coffees were really good.

My fave cafe in Scotland - we first came here during the first lockdown reopening and we literally tried everything and we knew the restaurant (which was not open at the time) would win a Michelin Star. This time (over a year later) the soup and sourdough is still outstanding but the rest especially the pastries and tray bakes really are not as appetising or experimental than the first time we tried it which is such a shame but really - who needs dessert when the soup and sourdough is that good!

We popped in today after a long hot hike along the reservoir and the girls in the cafe could not have been more helpful. They sent us off with a lovely takeaway packed into boxes with pies, salad and drinks and the food was delicious. Will visit again now we know it’s there!
