Excellent food in lovely surroundings . We were checking out the path from West Lodge to Comrie Croft in preparation for a Gold Duke of Edinburgh expedition.

Friendly staff, lovely views, plenty of parking and delicious food and coffee. Plenty of shelter if it’s raining and dog friendly.

Absolutely love this place!! My mum & I had the most delicious selection of salads after a two hour walk close by, followed by yummy coffee and cakes! Such a gem of a spot - great location, lovely shop, fresh veggie boxes & fab cafe. What more could you want?!

We popped into this place for lunch and a walk in the picturesque Comrie area. There is a cafe, shop and there's yurts, camping and biking available for holidaymakers. It promotes a natural, fresh and eco based experience. This however comes at quite a price. The cafe prices are very high, £4 for a mocha or a piece of shortbread, £17 for quiche and limited salad lunch and a couple of SMALL sized watery hot drinks in paper cups. They offer ciabattas, bagels, soup and cakes too. The portions are small and the food is served on plastic plates and cutlery, not exactly pleasant and given the prices and with the waste caused by plastic its not really Eco friendly in line with the ethos of the place. The quiche was bland, tasteless with a rock hard inedible crust and it broke my plastic cutlery trying to cut it. Also it didnt seem that fresh. The salad was tasty with interesting flavours, if limited. The server had a very stingey attitude, she refused to heat the quiche saying it would "spoil it" and had a bit of a bartering manner when we asked for salad, it was No this and No that and came across as generally straight faced and unfriendly. The part that really grated is we were made to sit outdoors as they have closed the indoor sitting area! On a cold October afternoon in the pouring rain! So we ate a miserable underwhelming expensive cold meal on plastic plates in the freezing cold! It was so abundantly obvious they wouldn't heat the food or let customers sit indoors to save energy costs, which might be OK if you charge take away prices, but not at these costs. Can't help thinking they saw us coming really. If we weren't hungry and miles from any alternatives we would've walked away. The place reeks of affluent middle classes in expensive camper vans and clothes rather than genuine alternative enviro conscious folk. C'mon guys we appreciate there's a financial crisis going on but taking advantage of customers like this is not OK.

First haggis I had and still the best. Fresh produce grown on the property. Hop, skip and jump from room to cafe.

I did not have any expectations, I just wanted a nice stop for an early lunch in a really poor weather. This cafe is absolutely amazing. Fantastic selection of food, great location, cool little farm shop, just a brilliant vibe.
