The food is ok but the service is absolutely shocking. Had to ask to be served. Had to go to counter to ask for more drinks. Staff walk passed with head down & ignore you then finished so they don’t need to clear your table. It the worse service I have experienced

The food in this restaurant was really delicious I ordered the salmon ravioli and it was beautifully cooked, soft tasty and served with some large prawns. ? The place is clean and welcoming. The staff were friendly and helpful but on the down side the food was very slow in coming out the kitchen. We also sat in the lounge area for a considerable amount of time before we were offered a drink and to eventually ask about our table. An idea could be that a member of staff is hosting and not attending to anything else. ?

It was our first time back here after since 2020 lockdown even it was called Milano. We visited mid week and didn't need to book.We found some changes, the Name has changed to Venice along with a change of management, well at least a change to front of house. There's a change to the layout with the removal of the pizza oven which used to be centre stage on the restaurant floor. Sadly this is not replaced with seating. The menu is much reduced from the book we used to receive but we were both able to find something to order. We ordered the seafood spaghetti and the gnocchi with some rustic bread to start. We enjoyed both dishes but the bread was not fresh. The service was excellent. In all a pleasant experience!

Kinda some of the most sub par food I’ve eaten in a while. Words I’d just to describe include foosty, burnt, bland, not like mama used to make. £6.50 for a kids portion is ripping it as well for the standard of the place. But if you like your mediocre food crisped up using hot lights, then bang in, im sure you’ll have a really mediocre time

Nice enough but have been to better. Service was a bit lax in terms of providing cutlery and a bit over zealous in trying to remove a glass which wasn't finished with and putting fingers all over the drinking part when doing so was unhygenic in current cirumstances! Garlic bread was thin and poor quality and pizza crust a bit hard. The sticky toffee pudding was nice but not as you'd expect it. We were a group of nine and am pleased to say all other dishes were fine and 'Tony the Chef's Special Pasta' was highly recommended by those that had it. The staff were helpful though and ambience good. They just need to step it up a bit to be really good!

We go, regularly, to many restaurants in and around Glasgow, Stirling and Renfrew areas, and often further afield as there is little choice in Cumbernauld. Despite some poor reviews, we decided to visit Venice Restaurant and we were pleasantly surprised. It was a quiet weekday evening, the restaurant was warm and inviting. The waitress was pleasant, and the manager/owner explained the specials menu, there was nothing 'pushy' in any of this. The starters were served in good time and the minestrone was excellent. Because we had ordered chicken, we knew the main course would take a bit longer.... it can't be shoved in a hot pan like rare steak! A pleasant evening, good menu, food well presented and tasty, thank you!!

Ordered at 7 and realised by 8 that they had “declined” our order. Leaving us high and dry. No phone call. Just an email. Absolutely shocking service, won’t be back and will make sure no one we know orders from here after the terrible response when we calle fro query it.

Poor costumer services, and poor food.Honesty is the best policy! I came in here with great hopes that it would be @ least up there with Tony Macaroni’s… It is by far the worst Italian food I’ve ever had, bland & very disappointing. Was never even asked hey. How was your meal? And it wasn’t even busy for them to do that. I know they’re young waitresses, but it’s not even professionalism it’s manners to ask. Hey! How was your meal sir? The fact they never even asked that left a really bad taste in my mouth. So for that reason I won’t be back in the near future, sorry… But I do wish the business the well. ❤️??

My partner and I were not impressed with this restaurant. It’s advertised as a cocktail bar, yet on a Saturday night (presumably their busiest day of the week) we were told there were no cocktails available which was bizarre as they have quite an extensive cocktail menu. This was the reason we booked. Had we have known there were no cocktails available then we would not have went at all. The food was also bland and tasteless - and expensive for what it is. We also had to wait ten minutes at the door when we arrived before anyone even acknowledged us and took us to our table. The waiting staff were friendly however management were quite stand-offish. Overall, I would not recommend this place and will not be returning.

Went there for the first time sadly have to say we feel dissapointedWe were sat at the table, few mins later our drinks order was taken then we got our drinks that's fine, and then we were just sitting there for like 10 mins and nobody came to take our food order, while waiting for that witnessed one couple leaving as they said they were waiting for started to arrive for 35 minsAnother couple came in almost at the same time as we did and had the same issue as us, nobody would come to take their order, they stood up to leave but were talked back into staying. The vibe just wasn't there, there is no music and you have three waiters just folding napkins and laying tables and nobody is actually interacting with the guestsWe had our drinks and decided to leave without ordering food as from have read the situation probably wouldn't have been a great experience.I'm giving two stars because coffee I ordered was tastyThey seem that they want to be good and succeed but I don't think they know anything about hospitality businessJust had the feeling like one of the Gordon Ramsays Kitchen nightmares episodesHopefully they'll improve and soon because place does seem nicely done

We have used this restaurant, formerly known as Milanos for several years and thoroughly enjoyed the food and service. However after a much anticipated wait during covid/refurbishment we returned to now known as 'Venice' restaurant. Service was slow. Only aesthetic change seemed to be the unnecessary addition of tacky plastic trees and wall hangings. Lasagne was tasteless. Lacked any kind of seasoning or herbs. Staff seemed very nervous and unsure of themselves. Tony's special was good though. Definitely needs a bit of work/take comments on board or this restaurant will not last 6 months. (Sad to have to give poor review as we were really looking forward to returning)

We came here with five kids on tuesday. Immediately upon seating the staff were very concious of the current climate and instructed us to use the hand gel available and keep masks on when going to the toilet etc. The waiters were so warm and friendly with my children. They were making them laugh and attentive. There was nothing they wouldnt do. My son has a specific dietry requirements and they were very attentive. The food was superb and all courses were better than the last. Very warm friendy atmosphere. The resturant was busy but it did not affect the service or meal quality. The portions were nice and the flavours were amazing. Reminded me of being on holiday. We can't wait to return. Hopefully after restrictions we will visit with friends. Highly recommended. All fresh ingredients. Quality food and service *****

Took advantage of the Eat out in August deal. Great value for money, food was very good and the staff were very busy but to be expected during the circumstance. Will be back before the end of the deal too good to miss.

My friend’s sister and her husband said this was their favourite restaurant so we took them there for a meal. For starters, two of us had mussels, one had scallops and the fourth had haggis and for mains there was two risottos, one salmon and I had seafood spaghetti. My mussels were good but with my main I had my usual complaint when eating Italian – too much pasta and not enough sauce and seafood. The others said their meals were good. The restaurant was very busy but we didn’t have to wait too long to be served.
