My partner and i used to order a lot from Frendlies when we stayed in Dalkeith, food was always delicious, fresh, served fast. We popped in after almost 2 years expecting lovely meal but unfortunately quality went downhill massively. Fries were appalling, as if they were reheated. Shredded honey chilli chicken was not only chewy, but didn't have a taste of chilli at all. Chicken chow mein was edible, but some noodles were uncooked (hard and dry). Mongolian chicken was decent. Quite good actually. Not sure what happened to Frendlies, perhaps we were just unlucky. Now i know why the place was deserted on Friday night. Will give another go in the future, but today was quite a disappointment. I very much hope it was just our bad luck.

First time using this place. Got a munchie box and a portion of fried rice. Got to say it was amazing one of the best we have ever had. We have just moved to dalkeith and have found our chinese takeaway. We are greedy btw and there was more than enough for the two of us. Had to wait 20 minutes but worth it. Place was really busy which tells you all you need to know.

5 starts to get attention ! Avoid the place !We Picked up an order which was just cooked, it took us 5 mins to get home and dish it and the food was cold and tasteless and there was a long black hair in the rice ! . When My partner phoned to complain She was spoken to by Someone with a severe attitude problem and they refused to offer any solution to they’re mistake . Disgusting food & disgusting service .

Very disappointed this time, I go to this takeaway on occasions, and this is first time I didn't enjoy it. My favourite Turbo Chow Mein was tasteless, it was like they forgot to add salt, totally bland. Wife got a dry chow mein and says hers was same. Hope it's better next time.
